It's not just major winning positions, you get yourselves into strong positions then throw it away. Like bowling Australia out for 200 on the first day at the Gabba, having England on the ropes before letting Tim Ambrose (snigger) score a century, letting India's tail slog countless runs in the third test in February and failing to bowl out India to win the match in seven sessions.

Not exactly unloseable positions, but you get the picture.
You're making us all relive a lot of painful memories there :p

Looking forward to watching Flynn bat, hopefully he and Guptill remain positive.

Guptill usually loves the opening bowling for 3 or 4 boundaries, then gets out. One day he'll go on!
Yeah it is incredibly frustrating. You know instead of slagging Murali/Black Caps, I think Mark Richardson should work with Martin Guptill to sort his temperament out. It's no use being all aggressive but make a start and not go on with it. He clearly has talent to suceed, but he just needs to pull his head in a little bit.

how bout that one down already..
Not so worried about losing McIntosh too be honest, even if it was a dodgy decision. He'd likely have poked & prodded when NZ need to be as positive as possible.

Really really hope NZ employ the sweep shot more against the spinners than they did in Galle.

Thushara to Flynn, no run, outside the off stump and left alone

Impressive technique from Flynn. He is watching the ball right onto the bat
Thanks Cricinfo, expect Flynn to get out now.

Guptil bats like a number 3 and not like an opener and flynn vice versa. Trouble is you can't make flynn open if he doesn't want to.
