International Captain
Trying to imagine a WA batting line up with out pomersbach, hussey and north for obvious reasons, can anyone hazrad a guess.

Noble One

International Vice-Captain
All will rest upon Adam Voges.

Can almost imagine Noffke will slip into the middle-order the way things stand in WA.

Anyone got a heads up on where Jaques is at? It'd be a massive waste if he never played test cricket again, I'd put him in the Bichel, Bevan, MacGill category.

Reckon he could be in (if he has good early season form) as soon as the first test. Watson was brought in to bolster the bowling attack, but hardly bowled. Given Jaques won't be away on ODI duties Jaques & Huges could push for a place.

Symonds set to return for Queensland

Surprised at the fact that he is keen to play in all three formats for the Bulls, I thought he would only be playing as a T20 freelancer from now on, anyways good news this for the Bulls.

Andrew Symonds said:
"If you can't sit in the pub and watch a football game over a beer and if that is upsetting team rules and harmony, there's no place for me anymore."
This is what he had to say, when asked about a possible return into the international side.

What do AUS think about George Bailey's chances of becoming test match material in the future?. I really liked what i saw of him in the IPL this year.

Definitely could become a chance if he was playing for N.S.W. or Victoria. The only way Tasmanian batsmen get a chance is if they plunder attacks all around the country and average 70. He's more likely a OD prospect atm.

Jaques really should push for ODI selection as well now that both Hayden and Gilchrist are gone.

Nothing short term has really worked at all. He is the obvious selection to open with Watson IMO.

He's up there, but to be honest behind quite a few middle order bats.

Voges, Ferguson from the younger bunch are ahead and I think Cameron White too.

Then you've got the experienced Cricket Australia contracted players in Hussey and Hodge.

Basically, I don't think he'd make an Australia A full strength team but he'd be easily in Australia B.

When it comes to T20, he should be very close to selection IMO.

I went to the GABBA for a 4 day match and watched him make a terrific 70. He batted like Ponting that day. His problem at the moment is that he gets in a lot but doesn't go on to a big score and until he does he will not play for Australia in Test Cricket.

I actually have a bet with Prince EWS that if he plays for Australia he'll average more then Sarwan.
