Cook: 4; couple of starts, but an unsatisfying series once more.
Strauss: 8; batting very good and captaincy reasonable, the frailty of the England middle order was hidden through his consistency.
Bopara: 2; found out a fair bit, needs to be hitting the ball through mid-on rather than square leg.
Bell: 5; two fifties in three tests, probably expectation met.
Pietersen: 5; an innings in which he could, or should, have set the tone for the series, and failed to. Injury then blighted the rest of his series.
Trott: 9; don't know what could asked more of him to be honest, only dismissed by a bowler once for 160 runs.
Collingwood: 5; one very important innings, but besides that he's disappointed.
Prior: 6; glovework reasonable, batting looked good throughout but in the end he didn't change a game with it.
Flintoff: 6; one innings with the ball when the game had already really been sorted, and a big run-out. His presence immeasurable tho, and fair to note that the only game Aus won was without Flintoff.
Broad: 7; bowling improved throughout the series, and his batting helped ensure that Australia rarely ran through the tail.
Swann: 5; never proved to be a weak link, but wasn't consistent enough.
Anderson: 5; one spell which was the catalyst for a test victory, but he was a bit of a passenger for the rest of it.
Onions: 5; consistent, never daunting but always probing.
Harmison: 3; typical Harmison.
Panesar: 2, didn't justify the faith put in him.

Just because Midge was all over him at first. Bit of a nit-pick though. I don't really care whether an innings is awkward or pretty.

Ponting 6/10 - Didnt come good when it mattered. And when he came good it was all but over.
Hussey 2/10 - Worst case. His 121 could actually be called a dead rubber century.
Watson - 5.5/10 - Bailed Aus out of the opening embarrassment.

Mine would basically be this but I'd probably give Onions 6.5 because I think he was better than Anderson. He was probably England's most consistent bowler.

Katich 7/10: Started with a bang in the first test with a hundred and went back to being solid without being spectacular for the remainder of the series. Remarkable how many scores he got between 40 and 50.
Watson 6.5/10: Came in to replace Hughes and performed quite well. Weakness spotted pretty early by England though and he fell LBW 5 out of 6 innings. Also got out after getting a start in every innings.
Ponting 6/10: Couple of good innings with the bat and a decent performance as captain. Not spectacular overall by his standards though.
Hussey 4/10: Came good in the last innings of the series. A couple of scrappy innings when the series was up and running. Well below par overall though.
Clarke 8/10: Shone for us with the bat.
Haddin 5.5/10: Started well with the bat but not so well with the gloves. Possibly hampered a bit by broken finger.
North 7.5/10: Was either great with the bat or ordinary at times. Scored well in a couple of important innings and was unlucky in another.
Johnson 3/10: Probably the biggest disappointment of the series for mine along with Hughes. Never consistently stamped his mark on any of the games. Had one good innings at Headingly and one good hit out with the bat. The rest of the series was pretty much a write off.
Clark 6.5/10: Started with a bang when he finally got a run immediately putting Australia in a winning position at Headingly. Probably should have been in the team from the 2nd Test onwards and possibly should have missed out in the 5th where he was largely ineffective.
Siddle 6/10: Bowled well at times with pace and fire but was a little too inconsistent unfortunately. Expected a lot more from him after SA.
Hilfenhaus 8/10: The surprise packet of the series. Wasn't sure how he'd go when he was selected for the first test, but he was consistently the best performed bowler from either side in my opinion. Was surprised he didn't get more overs in the second innings of the last test. Hopefully he continues in the same vein in the future.
Hauritz 7/10: Bowled much better than I thought he would when he was initially picked. Up until he was left out of the team for the last two tests thought he was at least a match for Swann, if not having outperformed him slightly. Not a bad series for someone who is hopeless

Batted well after that tbf and was a bit unlucky in the 2nd innings.

Really tough on Clark - did you watch the Leeds Test? - and Trott - one of the greatest debut performances in the history of the game, and he gets a 7 out of 10. What would he have had to have done to get full marks?
