Suits me.A left armer coming around the wicket to a left hander? Why? Do they not want to get wickets?
when?Sri Lanka have become nearly unassailable at home in the last few years. I am looking forward to Australia touring them without Warne. Because India and Australia were the only teams in the recent past to have bested Sri Lanka at home. But SL thrashed India last year and remining is only Australia.
Back in 1994-5 I think India beat us 1-0 at home. Aussies beat us 3-0 in 2003, but in 1999-2000 we beat them 1-0.when?
Oram+spin+spinners pitch=epic failWatched a bit of the game and Murali was looking a little flat this morning. Mendis did bowl that one beautiful over to Oram with some nice drift, a terrific googly that ripped past the bat and that straighter ball that almost had him out. Then in the next over he trapped him plumb. So it appears he is regaining a bit of the form which made him so dangerous in his debut series against India.
Welcome to CW and hope you do.
I'm new to CricketWeb. It seems I can enjoy my time here.
thats in 94-95. In this decade Pakistan is the only team that has won two test series in Lanka. 2-1 in 2001 and 1-0 in 2006 infact this year it was the first time that Pakistan lost a series here.Back in 1994-5 I think India beat us 1-0 at home. I am really sorry for that blunder. Pakistan indeed has been dominant in Lanka till Lanka whipped them this year. Yes, should've been Pak and Aus and not Ind and Aus.thats in 94-95. Yeah but obviously teams like Pakistan & India won't struggle as much in SL as the teams from the WestI don't this this Lanka team is as unbeatable at home as people are making it out to be. Pakistan lost the series due to two bad sessions in two games. A team more consistent should be able to over haul them.
Whether the series was lost in two sessions or not, the final word is they lost convincingly as the scoreline suggests. And Pakistan and India have the best players of spin in the world (barring SL).I don't this this Lanka team is as unbeatable at home as people are making it out to be. Pakistan was not done by spin the pitches were hardly spinner friendly. Thats what I am saying Pakistan lost due to lack of bottle and consistency a side which does not lack in this department can overcome Lanka in Lanka. I will not be surprised if India or SA get a series win there.Whether the series was lost in two sessions or not, the final word is they lost convincingly as the scoreline suggests.
