*Official* New Zealand in Sri Lanka

Blakey

State Vice-Captain
I have a feeling the blackcaps will have one heck of a series, the pitches will suit Vettori and plently of senior players have something to prove.
The senior players have always had something to prove. In fact hardly any of them have proved anything other than that they are typical NZ players - some potential but mostly unrealised.

So are you saying they are out there to prove the unproven? Brilliant summation for why you think they are going to do well.

Sri Lanka are missing a trick if Mendis doesn't feature. I would have played all three spinners, not brought in the wicket keeper who can't bat and just drop Angelo to retain Thushara. Both he and Nuwan can hold a bat.

Looking forward to this series. Just a shame Bond and Malinga are not 'ready' for test cricket.

It propably could be available on one of 100 channels, Zee TV or Zee Cinema not sure which. I saw all of AUS tours to IND, PAK, SRI from 98-2001 on them.

Only recently though. AUS tours to NZ in 2000 & 2005 weren't on sky. Just when ENG toured NZ.
Ridiculous!

Would have thought given the time difference NZ home games would be perfect to put on in England during the late evening/early morning.

Just checking.. the first Test starts in about an hour, right? I always seem to muddle up the timing of games in Sri Lanka somehow.

Disappointed that this isn't on Setanta. Oh well, if I can manage to watch ODIs from Zimbabwe live and Pro40 domestic games from England, I can probably find a way to watch this too.

EDIT: Or I could hop on an hour and a half flight to New Zealand an annoy Athlai in his pub. Tough choice.

Wouldn't annoy me at all.
Nah, I would. If New Zealand batted first the top order would collapse (obv) and I'd bemoan the lack of Skippy, and if they fielded first I'd point out Jeetan's toothlessness. I'm not buying a plane ticket and all the beers if I can't be ridiculously annoying when I get there..

Depends how cheap the broadcasters could get the series for.
