Yeah, but the less good Mendis troubled some of our lot on it.Think the pitch has been rather flat TBH.
I can't imagine it's that flat if Oram has figures of 3/21 in this innings.Think the pitch has been rather flat TBH.
Oram bowls negative lines, cramps them for room and makes batsman panic.I can't imagine it's that flat if Oram has figures of 3/21 in this innings.
Corrected.Patel needs an excuse
The scorecard is on the blackcaps website. Bond didn't play, the openers (How and Redmond) got 40's, wonderboy got run out for a duck and Southee bowled 12 overs for 13 runs.Apparently N McCullum took 5fa and Williamson took 3fa in a warmup match for NZ A in India. No info on how Bond did, or if he played but apparently the seamers bowled too short.
Quality that still managed to get out 'hit wicket' though. Wonder how he managed that.Broom with a ton to see NZ A win by 1 wicket. Diamanti batted at number 11
Broom is quality.
To be fair, Williamson was run out, it's not like it was a technical deficiency or he couldn't handle the pace/spin or anything. Also, he failed in a few pre-season OD games in Australia. I wouldn't be getting that worried about it since he is best suited to the longer version of the game anyway. He'll come good, no doubt. He's too talented not to.Quality that still managed to get out 'hit wicket' though. Wonder how he managed that.
Interesting that N McCullum got 5 while Nethula couldn't get any wickets.
Williamson seems to be really going through a bad trot ever since various people started calling for him to be included in the NZ team. Greg Hay-esque even. Meanwhile Watling has scored a few runs lately - wonder if he'll be the next on the NZ opener merry-go-round.
