Well, I'm quite excited about him, but I do tend to get a bit carried away whenever a young enlgish player shows they have a lot of technical ability, it's just so rare.
I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I saw Joe Cole play first.

Anyway, you can't normally sign young players from third world countries because they won't get a work permit.

Not in England true, but there are plenty of cases of that happening with Belgian clubs. Would you have responded if it wasn't your club that signed that young French player?

Since when did work permit matter for kids. Just bring their family over and register them as a local.

IIRC that was how Barca was about to sign Leo Messi at age 12, because they were able to get his old man a job in Barcelona. Anyway there are laws in Brazil that a kid under 18 can't sign for a foreign club.

Yet they can be signed for a company and then they can do whatever they want with them after that. Only matters if the are owned by a club, which only about 1% of decent young players are these days.

Haha, WAG, and imo he's absolutely correct in what he has said.
As for Kalou, I don't rate him much, and he's hardly the type of player Arsenal need, but wouldn't be the worst signing ever, just wouldn't be a good one either.
