Lara rated Pollard fairly highly but the one you are thinking of is Adrian Barath, who Lara saw bat in the nets at the Queens Park Club when he was 12 years old. Barath is now a member of the talent management company LAY, set up by Brian Lara and Dwight Yorke to help young sportsmen in T & T.

Lara has been waxing lyrical about Barath's talents for some time now. He also rates Darren Bravo highly (only natural I guess as they are both from Santa Cruz and are even related).
