On Ferguson, it's well documented he only rubbishes teams and managers that he sees as rivals and genuine threats. Taking it as a compliment tbh.
Was thinking this myself - witness Fergie's gushing praise for Wenger in recent years, coinciding pretty much exactly with Arsenal's drop from top 2 to 3rd/4th.

Sparky and the City hierarchy would be really pleased to be getting this kind of comment I reckon.
And F365 clearly agrees...

Congratulations City, You Have Arrived...

I have a question, what is it about Samuel Eto'o that Barcelona don't like about him? You would think after helping them 3 La Liga titles (?), a couple of European Cups, the Copa del Rey etc. Eto'o must be a good player and all because his contract is up next year you swap him for a guy who yes was the leading goal scorer in Serie A, but only scored 6 goals in 22 European Cup games for Inter. And five of them were scored two seasons ago.

Anyway Eto'o has arrived in Milan ahead of his medical and Ibra will be presented as a Barca player tonight. Not sure about the fate of Hleb, I know it is a lot harder for people from Belarus to get entry (as well as work) visas (Belarus is a dictatorship), so I'm not sure if that is the holdup.

Eto'o age and he started to become a bit part player last season. Henry will be next.

I don't think Hleb overly keen on the move.

If you believe the stories going around then he comes with a lot of baggage, isn’t really a great team man and is generally considered to be a major burden on morale. How true all of that is is open to speculation, but it does help to explain why Barca have been trying to get rid of him now for well over a year, despite the fact that he keeps banging in the goals like few other players in the world. If you remember, they were trying to be rid of him last summer, along with Ronaldinho and Deco, but couldn’t find a buyer who would match both the transfer fee and his wage demands.

Despite all that, the difference in valuation between Zlatan and Eto’o in this deal staggers me, given that there is only a 7 month age difference between the two.

He hit 36 goals last season, including the winner in the Champions League final, and was the spearhead of the most potent forward line seen for years. Not even remotely bit part.

Said he massively regretted ever leaving Arsenal a while back, feel sorry for him really, but ah well. Turned out Wenger was spot on in letting him go mind you. Wouldn't mind to see him return short term to cover for Nasri mind you, obviously never going to happen though.
