FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Ponting and Katich need to stand up. Hussey is in bad form, Clarke and North are good, but if they have a platform it's better.

If Hussey comes in at 2/30 or there abouts, makes a big score, he has secured his spot for a while (at least the end of the series when you consider his innings in the tour match).

I have a hard time believing that decision. The contact was so slight and behind his hands. How could Rudi seem sure enough to give him out?

Cos there was an obvious noise and nothing was anywhere near anything else apart from glove and ball?

Would clearly prefer Onions but Flintoff can indeed move it and has already. Just the bowling-too-short and bowling over-the-wicket that's the problem.

BTW do you Australians get that Barclaycard ad?
Barclays don't do business in Australia.

Anderson needs to focus on bowling inswinger after inswinger at Ponting and then follow it up with an away swinger. They need to make sure that they dont bowl even the slightest bit short to Ponting.

Hardly a bad dismissal though- it may be a bit of a gift but it's exactly the line you want to be bowling to Hughes.
It's better than bowling outside off, put it that way.

Not sure about Ponting struggling with Onions, it's indip rather than outswing that tends to be his particular problem, ergo Flintoff would seem to be the man if he could pitch full enough.

FFS get around-the-wicket to Katich!

There was barely a noise. No more than an empty swipe would have. The deviation of the ball was almost none and only discernable in slow motion replay at the reverse angle.

Mind you, it was the right decision. Just find it hard to believe how Rudi got it right.

There was a pretty obvious one, ergo all the fielders went straight up and I thought "gone, surely". No, there was indeed no deviation or obvious visual contact so there's no need to state that, but there was a pretty obvious noise.
