No matches in Melbourne next year, wont be another for three years.Despite possibly Locky and Petro hanging up the boots, the Queensland backline alone will see them as good chances to make it five straight. No doubt NSW will be far more competitive next year. They also have the advantage of two home games, but I am not sure whether one of these matches is to be held in Melbourne again?
Thanks. Then NSW has a home ground edge in 2010 I guess, but it may not translate into a series win. Also, NSW are unlikely to pick the same halves next year, having chosen this experienced pair as one off I feel. Anyway, the real issue is that although they won last night, a real cloud hangs over who will be there next year- players, coach and selectors. This again gives the Queenslanders an edge.No matches in Melbourne next year, wont be another for three years.
Its impossible to say really, who would have thought 12 months ago that Terry Campese would be five-eighth for game 1, who could have predicted that Michael Weyman would be an automatic selection? Thanks. True. I was concerned about the possible instability created by the 'uncertainty' surrounding several issues- not settling on the coaching position and it dragging on for a while; the formal 'review' that will be taking place shortly, and the fact that they may not be sticking to the same 1, 6, 7 and 9 as played last night. However, giving it more thought, it does not really matter since the State of Origin is a series that comes together only next May/June. As long as these 'issues' are sorted out well before the teams are announced for Origin 1, then it should be sweet for NSW !!!Its impossible to say really, who would have thought 12 months ago that Terry Campese would be five-eighth for game 1, who could have predicted that Michael Weyman would be an automatic selection?
Anything could happen between now and next May.
