Just curious about something, what happens if England get bowled out in the last over of the day and they lead by some 10-15 runs, then would Australia be allowed to chase those runs, or would the game end in draw..?
Lose 2 overs for the change of innings..

If it gets that close then tough luck, should've taken the wickets sooner/declared earlier.

This really is a good advertisement for test cricket, you just dont get this in the shorter formats.
I love test cricket, but there's no way this test was a good advertisement for the game.

**** pitch, lots of ****ty batting, and at times good bowling.

That with time-wasting occurring on day 4.

Could be an exciting end, but a good test is enthralling all the way through, not in patches at the start and the end.

Pretty sure umpires have discretion to continue play if it's forseeable a result can be reached quickly.
Hmm, you sure about that? as surely by that logic if a team was 9 wickets down the bowling side could argue that a result could be achieved fairly quickly. Surely when time is up, it's up.

Im not doubting that the pitch as a shocker but when it comes down to scenarios like this it is at its best.

Inclined to agree. Day 5 has been riveting, but was pretty mediocre fayre before. Australia have been disciplined and workmanlike and we've been gash.

Johnson should get a maximum of two overs here to get it right. Hilfenhaus and Siddle would put a lot of pressure on.
