I think the older ball isn't really helping the spin bowlers anymore here, so it would worth the gamble, to use the combination Siddle and Katich for a few overs, and see how things go.

I'm with you on that one. Were we to manage to bat until 5.30 before being all out then the extra 40 runs or so would make a big difference. Still the little matter of selection and playing them properly though.
