***Official*** English Domestic Season 2009

International Captain
Training with England for a couple of days left him too exhausted to play for his county. Tbf though, he doesn't owe Durham anything, first in the country to 50 wickets after all.

Of course it used to be that the England 12th man stayed with the team for a couple of days and then went off to play for his county in the Saturday.

If nothing else, someone should've found Onions a blond wig so he could send down a few overs this morning. Doctove certainly wouldn't have spotted anything, afaics.

Stiff, stumped by a sub today?? Never seen that before.

Cobb well 5 short of his century I saw, Middlesex in a hole.

"An unbeaten century from James Hildreth took Somerset to a position of strength - 368 for 6 - at the end of the first day against Hampshire at Taunton. The visitors also had to content with injury problems as they lost Nic Pothas to a groin strain and Sean Ervine took a blow on his finger in the slips. Pothas' injury meant John Crawley had to take the gloves before Tom Burrows, the second eleven keeper, arrived. Somerset lost Marcus Trescothick relatively early, at 38 for 1, but were steadied by contributions all the way down the order. Arul Suppiah, the other opener, made 52 while Justin Langer made 30. Hildreth, however, was the rock of the innings with 124 off 176 balls while Peter Trego, fresh from his heroics against Yorkshire, smacked 50 off 52 balls. His was the last wicket to fall shortly before play was stopped by bad light."

Yup - I was saying the same thing to a mate the other day. Judging by the 2020 game I saw against Sussex, his fielding isn't what it should be either.

John Crawley is a fairly decent keeper anyway.

Tough chase for Lancs today, weather conditions don't look great so probably repeat of the first innings collapse

99-1 at lunch, decent start, need Horts to go one and get a ton, about time he got back in some form. Looks like the new stand is starting to take shape at Old Trafford.

Mason currently bowling his 30th over (out of 81) whilst Andrew and Whelan have bowled 10 between them.

Lancashire cruising it in here bar a collapse to the new ball...235/3 needed another 29 to win

Much needed win against fellow strugglers Worcestershire, looking a bit ominous for them it has to be said. We need to get more batting points.

Haa, interesting game @ OT. Haven't gone to a game in almost 2 years, mainly because i have seen most of FC players b4 & the foreign stars aren't that exciting.

No Parnell today for Kent, either saved on what was your typical Oval road for Kent’s next county game (on Wednesday) or is injured already...

Hash doing the business once again for Essex, this time in the Pro40. Carrying the Essex batting…
