He has every right to be aggrieved when he's being punished for things other players get away with all the time. Nothing headcase about that, it's a natural reaction.
not really, he is a professional basketball player who earns in the millions, he should be capable of reining it in and focussing on the game at hand....and if he does that, the number of unfair calls against him will go down...and pretty much all basketball players look "aggrieved" most of the time they get called...doesn't mean much unless it is a blatant mistake by the refs and that doesn't happen that often...at least not as much as guys like wallace claim...

Oh wow, the he's a proffesional line.

Basketball is an emotion based sport, asking someone to just reign it in is extremely difficult in the heat of the moment. The gripe is that he is doing the exact same things as other players yet is getting punished disproportionately to them. Massive, massive lol at blatant mistakes not hapening often too. Obviously you're a Kobe fan.

all sports are emotion-based, basketball doesn't grant any special privileges for showing emotion....and the "me against the world" attitude can be seen in any pro sport, a prime example is john mcenroe in tennis...and he is a highly-paid professional whether you accept it or not...he has less of an excuse to behave like a disgustingly spoilt brat(not that anyone is really justified in behaving like that)...it is a vicious cycle too, he built an initial rep and then he maybe got a few more unfair calls than others, massively overreacted, thereby cemented his rep and earned even more arguable calls...worse still, the moron didn't learn from his mistakes after 14 years in the league...whether he is an actual head-case or not, he has behaved like one often enough to deserve the rep...and kobe bryant is miles ahead of him as a player(and it's not favourable calls that have made him so) and has achieved 10 times more and has behaved 10 times better(on the court i mean)...so there is really no point dragging him into this conversation...:)

What are you talking about? He was a moron in his early days, actually toned down a lot and is still getting punished. The way it is in the NBA is a joke, and you quoting how many techs he got as proof of him being crazy just shows that even if you do reform it won't really matter as guys like him and Artest have done so and still get penalised for behaviour most players get away with. Nothing fair about it at all and he doesnt deserve half the calls that he gets against him.

right i saw the reformed artest in the rockets-lakers series...he got a bad call and took it right on his chin and moved on....not! i have seen rasheed lose his cool more times than i care to remember even in recent times....and i am fairly certain that your sweeping generalization about half his calls being wrong is way incorrect...of course it is more or less impossible to prove definitively either way unless one does that level of detailed research on rasheed wallace and i for one am not that interested in the guy..:)

I more or less watched every Pistons game this season and half his calls being bs is being kind to refs. So you're right it is way incorrect, I'd say more like 90%. Like I said before your criteria of tech fouls to say he's still crazy is laughable.

In Portland the guy was smoking blunts and hitting clubs more or less every night, regardless of the schedule, as soon as he got to Detroit they stamped it out of him and he hasn't gone back. He became a guy who wanted to be in a team and acted like a good teammate for the first time in his life. How emotional on court is one of the reasons he's one of the best big man defenders going around, you get rid of that and you might as well get rid of him.

I'm with duffer on this one.

He reigned it in hugely after moving to Detroit. He still gets T's because of his Portland rep and all, but he is definitely not the same crazy guy from Portland. Detroit's team core was a part of the reason he reigned it in, and the current Boston team is pretty much a similar situation, just replace Chauncy with KG.

Apart from Spurs, Clippers and Mavs I don't see teams who have improved at all even with frenzied moves.

Signing Gortat and landing Marion os good business imo. Sets up a move for Howard or Terry, possibly packaged with Dampier. Might be some bankrupt teams out there with a borderline elite or even an All-Star player who would bite on something like that if they included picks and cash.

EDIT: Varejao getting 50 mill from Cleveland is completely ********. There really can't be a god.

So Pargo expected to come back and fill the hole left by Gordon? WTF?
Another major multi-team trade might be looming in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls having discussed a deal that would be headlined by Carlos Boozer and Kirk Hinrich, according to NBA front-office sources.

Really wouldn't liek Portland get a legit PG but both players would fit well and help areas of need on those teams.

A four-team deal sending Shawn Marion to the Dallas Mavericks has been approved by the league office and was to be formally announced by the teams on Thursday.

Marion is set to receive a five-year contract from the Mavericks worth an estimated $39 million, according to sources.

Under the sign-and-trade deal, the Orlando Magic traded Hedo Turkoglu to the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors sent Marion, Kris Humphries, Nathan Jawai and cash considerations to Dallas, while also sending a future second round draft pick to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Mavericks in turn shipped Jerry Stackhouse and cash considerations to the Grizzlies and Devean George and Antoine Wright to Toronto, while the Grizzlies dealt Greg Buckner to Dallas.

Like Marion a lot for Dallas, Jawai looks like becoming a journeyman now. Shame he got injured early last season, he could've been a solid backup if he got anywhere near his ceiling.

As I've said in the past I'd be very disappointed if we lose captain Kirk but Boozer would be such a good fit for us, even if it'll leave us seriously hurting in the back court. Maybe trade one of the many forwards for a decent guard who can give us good minutes off the bench.

if millsap ends up going to the blazers, it is going to be a much better situation for them than bringing in turkoglu...he is young, tough, talented and a much better long-term option than hedo....

Millsap is a solid player but he's very much the benficiary of the system they play there. He's very very limited. The way the Blazers play under McMillan, wings who can create and score with the clock running down are worth their weight in gold, Hedo would've been an outstanding fit there.

They need vets who can make them a lot better right now, not another young player who needs to learn his way some more. They have a window of about one or two years before they have to start resigning all their young talent and the hard cap means they won't be able to keep them all. Guys like Hinrich and Boozer are the ones they should be going after strong but as long as their GM keeps nixing these deals because he doesn't want to give up Jarred Bayless or the like, it aint happening.

Also, AI cries at a charity speech Love the little guy, hope he lands well.
