****ing pissed right now, had $100 on the Raiders 13+ and they were cruising. Rubbish performance after halftime.

WOW!! What a game. Best game I've seen in a long time. So so happy right now. Our defense was rubbish, but we scored more than the opposition. That's all you can ask for.

Mortimer, Hayne and Jennings are absolute stars. Jennings game today was as good a game as you'll ever see from an outside back. Great game from Tia Kilifi too. Panthers forums have been calling for him to come into the side to cover for our injured outside backs, and today I saw why. Scored the winning try, and belted Hayne when it counted.

Was able to put it over the Parra fans I went with today too. Great stuff. Love my team. Go Penrith!!

Pritchard has a broken hand apparently though. Jennings was limping the entire game too. Would be surprised if he plays next week.

Sooooooo ****ing happy. WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happy::happy:

Given he's likely to be selected for Origin, I'd be extremely surprised if he plays next week :p

It was pretty entertaining, but the defence was shocking from both teams.
True. I was cursing some of our defense at the time, but alot of the errors were made by Pritchard who was playing with a broken hand.

Also I know Burgey will be ranting about this, but Parra look so much more dangerous when Robson is nowhere near the play. His penalty kick for touch which went maybe 5 meters was comical. Every time he got the ball the Eels fluency seemed to disappear.

The more Hayne and Mortimer get the ball, the more dangerous the Eels look. They'll be a good team in years to come. Genuinely worried about our game at Parra stadium later in the year tbh.

I can hear it now. "Hayne for 5/8!"

Reckon Parramatta will be a genuinely good team in 2011. They'll have a good spine with 1 Hayne 6 Mortimer 7 K Keating 9 M Keating with a good pack consisting of Tim Mannah, Justin Poore, Shane Shackleton and Feleti Meteo.
Next year is maybe a bit too soon but the year after they'll be gun I reckon.

Agree Simon, if they can keep them all!
See no reason why they wouldnt, Hindmarsh I'd say will give it away at the end of next year, plus theres some other guys on decent coin who will probably leave like Burt, Lowrie, Cayless then Grothe's current contract would probably be downsized, Inu is likely to not be there much longer. The guys in my previous post are all 90% going to be there in 2011 I think.

I have a theory on Origin selection and that is that you just pick your best players. The biggest myth was that Qld back in 2006, went for youth in a bid to build for the future. In my view, they did no such thing. Rather, they just picked their best team, which happened to mainly consist of young punks. You can't plan for the future in Origin - there are only three games per year, and with suspensions, injury, guys going overseas, it is impossible to plan ahead.

Origin is about winning - you just pick your best team. If it happens that they are mostly young, then so much the better.

I agree to an extent, but sometimes I think they should go with the younger guys. This year I still think NSW did the right thing in going for some kids in game 1, they could have easily won it at the end and things would be totally different. I still think Mullen is NSW's best halfback and had they picked him instead of Wallace from the start then a combination of Campese/Mullen would win NSW more games now and in the future.
