Just wanted to advise that the site is running slightly slower than usual for me ATM.

Edit: Actually it's gotten worse than "slightly". It took 2 minutes for this post to...umm post.

Server monitoring shows connection problems at 4:54pm, 4:55pm, 6:35pm, 9:10pm EST time. Apart from those 4 minutes in the past 24 hours, the status is showing fine.

Can you take note of the time next time please?

9:10 would have been one of them - it was three quarter time in the footy. Perhaps I was simply unlucky, I think around 4:55 sounds right as well.

I was experiencing problems at around roughly 6:35 and 9:10, I went to email you but realised that I didn't save the email address to my contacts.

There was a db restore taking place for a test environment.

It should be back to normal now.

Thanks for the alert Voltman, much appreciated.

I was driving home at the time of your email, and it seems to be fine now, I think it was the backup that was causing the load to sky rocket. Friday backups are different from the other days because it takes a full system backup on this particular day.

I'm going to check things out a bit more this evening.

We had a problem around mid-day EST time which is now resolved, and the backups kick in at 1pm which take 15 minutes.

Should be all back to normal now.
