Thought he looked perfectly comfortable against the short stuff until the ball that got him out - was just letting it go utterly harmlessly. Then seemed to lapse and took his eye off that one.

It was the stuff in at his hip and stomach area that he looked less than ideal at, and he's always been known to be best with width.

And Ponting gone to a fairly awful shot.

Yeah any fool can bowl short. Which means it's rather inconceivable that Hughes could've had the success he has if it's a real weakness.
