More ineptitude from Surrey - threatening to 'surpass' Glamorgan's 101-run defeat from yesterday. 85-4 to 99-9.

Enjoying the Flintoff Show though.

Looking like it's going to be the first time for ages where Fred comes back into an England team with genuine batting form. Looking forward to see him bowling abit later as well!

Has he made runs on any other occasion this season though? Wouldn't read too much into one knock in a Twenty20 tbh. Good to see all the same.

Yeah apparently he did look good the other day and got a shocking decision (given out caught but nowhere near it). Has certainly struck the ball well today.

Yeah I forgot about the 50 at Liverpool; he was 30-odd overnight wasn't he, disappointing he didn't make that a big one. Signs are good anyway, especially as his bowling never really leaves him.

Sod flintoff Cook has hit a T20 hundred! Bet you could have gotten some nice odds on that ever happening! Wouldn't read too much into this innings from flintoff, pretty dire bowling on a flattie, not exactly test standard, still will do his confidence a world of good. Got thumped a bit with the ball mind.

edit: Laxman hit 63 off 45, it must be flat!

As I said to my Dad, doesn't really matter the standard of the bowling to be honest, was timing the ball well and thats about all that matters. When he's out of form with the bat it really doesn't matter what the bowling is like he will get out to it, most likely trying to clear mid off and not succeeding, because thats what he tries to do when he can't hit it off the square.

It's good to see Cook has had a run with some limited-overs cricket. I think it'll be good for his development as a player in the long run. It was interesting to hear Langer talk about Cook, in the last Ashes series I think it was. He was saying that he thought if he added a wider range of scoring shots to his play, it would make him a better test player.

Watched all of Freddie's innings. Looked like he was playing in very much the way he did against the Aussies in '05, just some very simple hitting straight off the seamers. Was awesome to watch.
