Yeah, it was piss weak. At least NSW teams last year and the year before had a crack when they were expected to lose. These guys have been awful. I was glad to see Watmough play so well. Hayne looks like he does it easy. Gidley tried hard too. Some ****ing dreadful defence in the first half. The NSW team, bar Watmough, Hayne and Gidley, can all hand in their man cards.
Poore's hit on Crocker the high point of the night for me.
Yeah NSW definitely had all of the reffing decisions this game. Kept them in the game. They never looked like taking full advantage of it unfortunately.Don't think I have seen a worst NSW side in my whole life. Lucky the video ref was playing for NSW and Queensland had 6 fit players in the 2nd half.
Hayne was the x-factor really. The only one that can really make something out of nothing for us atm.Yeah, it was piss weak. Haha yeah they made the night a little more bearable.
Yeah it wasn't a bad one. Barrett's hit on Inglis another high point for me.
Watmough's on Crocker wasn't bad either.
HAHAHAHA missed this the first time. Absolutely classic stuff Vic
Left to Right: David Williams, Peter Wallace, Craig Bellamy
Think Gidley tried hard and was obviously upset about the loss. Think you've forgotten some things though such as his bad attempt at a tackle for QLDs first try.I need to ask something. I'm a Newcastle supporter so I'm also a fan of Gidley, now I thought he was NSW second/third best player on the ground (behind Hayne) because of his defense (try saving tackle against Inglis, long run/try saving tackle against Slater, fumble causing tackle against Crocker, kick chase tackle against Slater, and multiple other middle of the field tackles during his stint at hooker) and also the fact that he was a much better dummy half than Farrar.
But I've been browsing a few league websites and I see hundreds of posters saying Gidley was one of the worst on the field and was hopeless. I can understand any debate against his conversions (which were hard I guess, both missed were from the sideline) and his one kick, which was poor. But I just don't see what he did 'wrong' tbh.
Is it just me and my red and blue glasses stopping me from seeing what Gids do wrong or are these people being ****wits?
The fact that his forwards didn't man up in the line didn't help him a great deal though. Had Inglis charging at him with noone in front of him.Think Gidley tried hard and was obviously upset about the loss. Hayne was better and I would also say O'Donnell, Stewart, Watmough were all better then him and Weyman was probably too.
I can't see Peter Wallace or David Williams retaining their spots.
Jamie Soward could be in the mix, if NSW want to bring in an extra forward who can play both front row and back row I think Chris Houston has to be in with a chance.
TBPH it would have taken a 20ft wall to stop Inglis from there. Not to mention that Kite was in a position to attempt a tackle but moved to the side leaving Gids to do it alone.Think Gidley tried hard and was obviously upset about the loss.
