Congrats Heath. Hopefully you can do something Mustard is yet to do. Win a final.
Cheers mate. Will be an exciting match with the local crowd behind me.

Tough first round draw. In fact, tough draw all-round for the CWOpen. Even if I can make it past Jamee, then it won't get any easier.

Not a shocking draw for the singles, about the worst possible doubles draw, who knows though we could spring an upset.

Think Maxum could be a shout to beat henson in the second round after a decent showing at langforth, need to win the first round match before that happens though.

Maxum and Bowenburg will take the doubles by storm, not going to drop one game on the way to the title

AWTA - Special kudos to Maxum for noticing my fashion sense, I do try and look classy when out on the court.

Congrats to Heath for winning his first singles title.

Could someone please tell me who my first round opponent is? I'm unable to view non-text images at work.

He's not there yet. :p

And yes, the "dynamic" Pascal Schmidt first whose best finishes this year are a semifinal in Belgrade (l Daneu) and a quarterfinal in Halle (l Amato)

Quietly confident I can provide some upsets and make it to the fourth round.

Very excited about our doubles chances, I think this is the one for Drake/Korps.

Men's Singles (Seeds - Finals - Section 1 - Section 2 - Section 3 - Section 4)
Men's Doubles (Doubles)

  • CWLand's Heath Davis has completed his preparation for next week's CW Open in the best possible fashion after an emphatic victory over Germany's Becker Haas in the final of the Pickford Open. Moving back inside the top 40 for the first time since April, Davis proved too good for the in form German as he fired him off the court in a dynamite first set. With his most consistent serving of the week, Davis hit the peak of his form to take the first set 6-1 after dominating the rallies and being successful in his approaches to the net. A shell-shocked Haas had no answer for the barrage, but managed to lift in the second as he found his own rhythm on service and snuck his way into rallies. But this was Davis' day in Davis' country, and he gave the crowd something to cheer about as a heavy backhand found the corner of the court to hand him the break. 6-5 quickly became 7-5 as Davis served out a sensational 6-1, 7-5 victory.

  • Seeded players out: Becker Haas.
  • In the doubles final, Korea's Lee Inmin and Chinese Taipei's Qingdong Tsai claimed their first title of the season by defeating in form Bulgarian duo Ivan Genov and Yordan Zakov. The fourth seeds dropped the first set 4-6, but came back well to secure an important victory 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.

  • Seeded players out: None.

Clarification needed on this - do Grand Slam qualifying points go on at the conclusion of the Grand Slam, or the week they happen? As far as I can see it is the former, but I'm not reeally sure.

Well done to Davis, too, who becomes the fourth CWLander to win an ATP level title.

Well, **** me sideways with a broom. Wholly unexpected. I'd like to thank my mum, my parrots, my trainer, sledger, Jojo Mustard and anyone else who has assisted me in my run to this prestigious ATP trophy!
