With round 15 being the Broncos only game this season without their representative players we could have an interesting squad for the game against the Sharks.

I reckon we'll look something like this:

1. Hoffman
2. Hewitt (debut)
3. Michaels
4. Winterstein
5. Yow Yeh
6. McCullogh
7. Hunt (debut)
8. Kenny
9. Gorrell
10. Clinton
11. Sims
12. Te'o
13. Parker
14. Marsh
15. Taylor
16. Setu
17. Wapau

Not too bad all things considered with only Thaiday missing from our forward pack. We will struggle in the halves, but given Barrett & Gallen are out for the Sharks, we're a good chance.

A lean and hungry Lockyer, who is still bleeding from missing out on last year's triumph, will steer us home next week.

That's what I love about Lockyer - he's set up for life, he's achieved everything in the game, but he still has such an unquenchable thirst to win.

Was it cold in Sydney last night? If so I think Parramatta's outside backs must have gotten frost bite. Fair dinkum are they coached to do anything other than the inside ball in the middle third of the field?

Alex Glenn to start in the centres, Winterstein back to the wing, Hewitt to drop out. Also would prefer Marsh at 5/8, McCullough at hooker and Gorrell on the bench, less minutes for Gorrell the better, we have been dire with him starting this season.

He's playing like a busted given his standards, tbf.

Pretty much the best we could do, that back line is bloody young, all but Michaels have played Toyota Cup either last year or this year.

Turns out this is NSW's 14th different halves combination since 2004. The last time they had the same halves combo was for Andrew Johns and Shaun Timmins in 2003. In the last four series QLD has had Prince-Thurston (2 games), Hunt-Thurston (1 game), and Lockyer-Thurston (7 games). Even in 2004 and 2005 the two series NSW won, they still used 5 different halves combinations

Thanks Tharmi - the side for game 2 is weaker than game 1. Lucky we won the first game by 40, eh?

Watmyth and Kitemyth in the same pack - wow, Qld must be shaking in their boots as they run at those two powder puffs. Kite hasn't bent the line since the GF last year, and Watmyth's just a **** frankly - "Oooh, he runs into a hole". Yeah, like every ****ing forward can when there's a gap there the size of Sydney Heads - the kind of gap Anthony usually creates in his own defensive line when he falls off his 18th tackle for the game. Let him beat someone with strength, the no-neck ****wit. I despise that bastard - wish they'd rissoled him when he put the word on that sponsor's daughter. Wish I was her dad, I'd have killed the ****. Gallen, of course, is "tough". I think that means he gives away **** loads of penalties but aside from that does nothing more than 12 other backrowers in the competition. Looking forward to him and Watmyth's bonding session - both will be in custody come Saturday morning. If that means they're out of the game, then it will be a worthwhile inconvenience to the constabulary.

Turning to the halves, where Trent Barrett will be able to sell his framed jersey after the game, without washing the ****ing thing - **** plays in a dinner suit FFS. And there's Wallace - prick looks like he doesn't give a ****, and frankly he plays the same way lately. Been gash for about 5-6 weeks. The side he runs around the park is standing still ATM, which means they're going backwards, and so is he.

That ****ing fairy Williams on the wing - best thing the **** did was spray his beard pink - matched his ****ful playing style. "Ooh, he's fast" says selector Daley. So's every ****ing winger you dip ****. You've left out Monaghan for him. Yes Monaghan - you know, the bloke who leaps as well for the high ball as anyone in the comp. Still, I can understand it, because no one scores tries from high cross field kicks in this day and age, do they?

In the centres, representing NSW with all his Carroway-seed sized heart, is Jamie Lyon, the Peter Costello of the NRL. The man didn't want to play of course, got picked then said "I'll try, really I will". His selection was justified by selector Fulton who said he is "The best defensive centre in the game". Jamie went on to prove him right in game one by missing so many tackles angry commuters were shoving train tickets up his arse, having mistaken him for a turnstile. In fact, it was no mistake at all.

Craig Wing is apparently in severe doubt, so the selectors decided to cover his potential absence with the creative dummy half genius of renowned hooker Tom Learoyd-Lahrs. Oh I don't doubt big Tom deserves to be there, but where's the shadow player for Wing? You know, an Ennis or an Alan Tongue who can cover should there be an injury to Farrar. Didn't think of that, did you? Too busy having a pie and jibbering about the old days, you ****heads, weren't you? Learoyd-Lahrs should be in the squad, but there's no alternative utility picked as back up, and that's plain stupid.

Never mind though, coz coming to save the day is Glenn Stewart. Yep, that's right Glenn Stewart. He says "I'm a 5/8 in a forward's body", which really means "I'm a fat ****". He's supposed to be creative, but doesn't realise you don't get many chances to dipsy-do in Origin, because if you're really doing your job as a backrower you're too buggered from tackling.

This is a poor side IMO, but anyway now I've said that they'll probably go on and win, such is my tipping prowess.

Anyway, **** 'em. I hope Qld win by 70. It's no more than these ****wits deserve.
