Well, there you go. I reckon a MINIMUM trainee should be a 17yo mediocre/competent.You can find mid-to-old competent-to-respectable players for under 10k everywhere.
Trainee-wise, 17yo med/comps are everywhere again for around 5k.
Fire away, would hang him personally.
You're getting there, but I think you're better off ditching most of your trainees and buying in some better ones. Someone said that you'd probably get another £50k next update -- I suggest you use it on buying 3 or 4 trainees, Competent/Mediocre or above, all with at least Feeble stamina. What should these players be on or is that wrong? Also, I don't do any stamina training, should I bring that in and sacrifice something here?
Nope. He's rubbish -- it'll take YEARS for his concentration to come up to scratch, and almost as long for his stamina to improve. Seriously, get rid. There may be some mug out there who'd buy him, but I wouldn't count on it.Andrew Arnold - 18 yo, BT Rating=2,774

Better. However, with 17yo Competent/Mediocre batsmen going for £10k or so, you'd be much better off buying one of those.Mati Raisani - 18 yo, BT Rating=2,449

Yeah, I've got 1. Should I get more?BTW, have you employed some Sports Psychologists? Just checking -- you need them, or you won't get any secondary boosts from your primary nets.
No thanks. I will pass on both. These two up on sales and finish tomorrow if your still interested, Jake. But would go down the 17yo comp route personally.

I had a guy who was Competent in bowling, now I get this dude. I've got him in the nets, but is he worth it? Only young.
YES! It's in the rules somewhere. Basically, when you give a player a bowling/batting/fielding/WK net, a sports psychologist attends the session, and that's what gives you the secondary (conc/cons) training. You basically need 1 sports psych for EVERY primary net, so that you get as much secondary training as possible.Yeah, I've got 1. Should I get more?
Sorry to hear that. It will get easier in the next few weeks -- there's always a feeding frenzy at the start of the season. No thanks. I will pass on both.
I've went for about 15 players in the past day, and I haven't got 1. The better players I'm going for now are bloody hard to get, especially with a different school and sleep routine to lots of other users, especially from different countries and who don't go to school or have a job, or who have way more free time than me.
Seriously, look at your youngsters and work it out. If you've got some Competent/Mediocre 17yos, great. If not, you WILL need to buy some cheap trainees.I'm not even going to buy or sell! Going to try and build up my team with what I have. Hopefully it works!
All very sound adviceTrain him. Decent
When starting off in Battrick, try and get your team of Medicore/comp players with the same consitency/concentration of Med/comp, also make sure they have decent stamina. Feeble + probs ( try and get higher. These type of players should be easy to buy as they don't go for much on the transfer market, 1000$ - 10000$ at most. So go buy some players, dosen't matter what age with stats I said before. Feeble + stam, Medicore/comp batting/bowling, and mediocre + in concentration/consetiency. Depends if your buying a bowler or batsmen. Batsmen = concentration. Bowler = Concstiency
Now for your traning, have 2 - 3 players like Kyle Waters above. 17 year olds with med/comp stats. And train them. 2 bowl, 1 stam, 1 field would be good for Kyle waters.
Look to by some sports physcoligists ( can't spell it ) later on to help train secondary stats.
Hope that helped..
There's nothing wrong with training up lots of players with one net. HOWEVER, it's not usually the best way to get rounded players. Secondaries are important!I have 4 nets for bowling, and have a different bowler in each one?
Should I be doubling up on some? Wont that make one bowler good but the one who I'm not training bad?
The majority of my team is trainees, young players (17/18/19) who are getting 1 net on batting or bowling, with a stamina and a fielding in there too. Should I get rid of a couple of trainees and get a couple of older, pre trained guys, or stick to my guns, but only be giving them one net each? There's nothing wrong with training up lots of players with one net. HOWEVER, it's not usually the best way to get rounded players. Secondaries are important!
Typically, I'd use a minimum of 1 x bowling and 1 x fielding on a young bowler, possibly 1 x stamina too. If he's a decent 17/18yo prospect, I might up it to 2 x bowling.
Similar for a batsman. For an all-rounder, I'd be using 1 x batting, 1 x bowling and 1 x fielding.
Generally, teams will only have 3 to 5 trainees on the go at once -- the rest of the team would be older players, e.g. 23+, who aren't being trained.
Like I said before, by a couple of older players with med/comp stats, then buy a couple of 17 year olds with the stats i said before. 2 -3 trannies would be good. I wouldn't one net everyone at the moment, heres why should have atleast 2 primary nets on someone, heres a site to help you with traning speeds, battrick ect..The majority of my team is trainees, young players (17/18/19) who are getting 1 net on batting or bowling, with a stamina and a fielding in there too. Should I get rid of a couple of trainees and get a couple of older, pre trained guys, or stick to my guns, but only be giving them one net each?
Thanks mateAll very sound advice
Most players on battrick only have bowling all rounders, I'd defientley train atleast 1 speiclist bowler and 1 specialist bat atm.Would it be better for me to train
A few young bowlers in bowling nets, or a couple of allrounders with just as good bowling and better batting?
I put the allrounders on batting, because I am clearing my crappy trainees, but what should I do about them bowling?
If that's the same bunch you posted earlier, you should just get rid of half of them -- they're rubbish. The majority of my team is trainees, young players (17/18/19) who are getting 1 net on batting or bowling, with a stamina and a fielding in there too.
