Why on earth should young guys like Warner, Dussey etc be required to tell Symonds off when he is violating his contract that he's agreed to? Can you imagine how irritating that would get after a while?

He had been told very clearly not to have a drink if he wanted to keep his job.

I'll bet Symonds was the only one who has had several warnings though. Honestly don't know why you defend him. He's 34 (!?), responsible for his own actions, and has let the team down several times before.

Exactly how hard is it to conform to team rules when they earn you hundreds of thousands (if not millions) or dollars a year.

Symonds let himself down, he was with his teammates not his babysitters. I love watching Symonds play, but there's noone to blame here except himself.

Not many excuses for Symonds if he had that clause put into his contract and broke it anyways. If I was in charge I wouldn't have pulled the plug, but they have every right to if that was the agreement.
