Regardless of how average Kite looked. He still a fair bit better then what White, Mason, O'Meley have offered in the past or more effective then the sixth backrower. Though I am hoping Cross is fit for the next match.

Got to look at Cooper to defend Inglis next match. Lyon did as well as he could considering how awsome Inglis was. The only player that got half a chance on him would be Cooper.

A lot of positives to come from that match, but they do need to look at a few things. The kicking game was quite poor. Not sure what they can do there unless they take a punt on Soward. But Campese and Wallace worth another shot.

Surely Kite's papers will be marked NTPA now.
Not a bad effort in the end really. Most of those blokes should be kept imo. More ball to Jennings game 2 please.
Laughing at Hodges - always been a gobby ****, 'specially as he plays about 7 games per year on average.
Yeah, in more ways than one. Spit flying everywhere whenever he speaks.

yeah Thurston outstanding, created everything.

Who does Qld bring in for game 2 in backline?

1. Hunt plays right centre (played reall good in the role tonight) and ???? goes onto bench

2. Folau comes into centre, ???? comes in on the wing

3. ????? comes into the team into the centres

Willie 'I'm back in orgin form' Tonga....

How awful is Qld's winning song (reminds me of the Freo Dockers for awfulness)

Yeah good call on Tonga (he would play centre, Hunt on Bench)

Other options I thaught of:

Bowen on Bench; Hunt in centres

Rogers in centres; Hunt on Bench

Micheals in centres (big call)

Burgey

Terry Campese no?
Nah, Campese a neophyte. Kite doesn't have first gamer nerves to blame. Wouldn't write Campese off forever on that, but I would Kite.

Kite might be better than O'Meley et al who Tharmi mentioned, but why not one of the young fellas from Newcastle? They're kicking everyone's arses

Michaels would be my choice of those options. Folau could come into the centres with Slater onto the wing and Hunt fullback but I'd rather just replace Hodges with a specialist centre. If not Michaels then Tonga.

Anyone else expecting Hayne to get a call from French Rugby Union?

Well, all in all we were beaten by the better side. Sure, the refs didn't help, but Queensland has some pretty piss poor decisions go against them as well.

Really, Kite, Campese, McManus and Lewis can all go **** off.

Seriosuly, Campese touched the ball once, Kite might have well as run backwards, Lewis, you were playing?! And McManus, piss off home you Scottish ****. Why did you get selected? Oh right, you had one good game. ****.

What does everyone reckon about Wing starting? He was awesome when he came on, lifted us so much. Hayne was ****ing brilliant.

Melbourne is cursed for NSW # 1's. Last time it was Hodgson that lost us the game, this time Gidley. Oh well, he'll come back.

But all in all, we played with no passion until the 76th minute. Seriously, Hayne was the only one that went in with the mindset; 'Origin time, heads will roll'. And he played great at that.

Robot Refs are needed, tbh.

Wallace played alright, could have done far worse.

Really need to work on tactics as well. I mean, the little ****ing inside balls will acheive a break once every game, so why do it for the whole game when the front rowers were practically standing still when they got the ball?

****s.

Cross is gone till the end of the season.
Well there you go, reckon even Burgey would struggle a to find a forth front rower to warrant a spot ahead of Kite. Probably says something about our dire front row stocks though.

Luke Stuart?

**** me, I know most NSW fans are pissed off at the Hayne no try but to say it cost you the game is a bit rich considering you scored your first try off a forward pass (a very clear forward pass btw) which wasn't called.

Really, it wasn't that forward that pass.

It was a bit, no denying it, but no alot. He practically passed it when he was next to the sidey-post thingy, and momentum would have carried the ball forward.

Agreed; 2 line ball calls evened themselves out for mine.

Anyways I thought Hayne touched the line (soon as he looked up and thought he was right:laugh:) every time I saw the replay

Lewis, you were playing?!
Yes he was playing. Set up our second try if you were watching. He was the only one chasing that kick, and worked his guts off whenever he got the chance. His only errors came from absolute hospital passes.

Wing was pretty good actually. Better than Farrah who I think looked nervous, and had a poor game in general. Wouldn't have a problem bringing in Ennis for game 2.

Hayne was very good, but **** me couldn't he taken just a bit more care to stay in the field of play? He was two steps away from the last tackler when his boot "hit the line". He shouldn't have let it be in the slightest of doubt imo.

Gidley that was the biggest choke of a game I've seen in a long time. Three major mistakes in the second half cost us our momentum. Absolute terrible game, and I hope he doesn't start getting a rep for falling down at the highest level.

Our tries in the second half were lucky, but it was no more than we deserved for that shocking Hayne no try decision.

Kite, Campese, Wallace, McManus, and of course Gidley and Farrah were all very poor. The refs were also garbage, but we'll likely get the same treatment at ANZ.

Well played QLD. Didn't really need to do anything spectacular to win this, but did what they had to.

And yes Simon, only had 5 beers :@

Wouldn't be making many/any changes if I were NSW for the next game. They had 4 guys of 17 who have had 5 of more games experience. Give 'em a chance.
