Got exposed and shown up by a guy playing on one leg.

First 8 minutes were good but after that it was just a training ground kick around. Nice to watch but it was so easy.
He handled them well last season though.

United just strangled froze after that first goal & as defending champions you wouldn't expect that. Look at Australia in cricket...

Didn't take our chances and as such can't complain much. Fergie and Evra agreeing with me there. I'll just have to be content with the Carling Cup, World Club Championship and oh the Premier League.

Barca completely bossed around the midfield today and that was where the game was won and lost. United completely passed off the park.

Iniesta and Xavi superb once again, best two playmakers in the world today IMO - always save their best for the big occasions. Thought Pique was pretty solid down back as well. Messi once again was very good in the few moments he had, does go down too easily though at times.

For United, they got their formation all wrong at the start Ronaldo should been on the wing from the start instead of leading the line and Berbatov should have started. Carrick and Park were listless.

I think today just erased the pain of not seeing Hull go down.

Look forward to 6 points against that gob****e **** Brown.

I actually didn't think Messi was that good, he had his moments and was far better than most United players but he was outshone by most of his team mates, save the goal.
I agree that Messi was outshone by his team mates, some one like Iniesta. However, Messi made it count when it mattered with the awesome leap header to seal the tie. He has 38 goals this season and not some thing to be scoffed at.

No complaints - Barca were better all over the park and thoroughly deserved it. Credit to them, unquestionably the best team in the world this season.

Disappointed as much with the performance as the result as we managed to save our worst til last. We all know how good Barca's best is - what frustrated me was that they didn't need to be anywhere near it to beat us comfortably. All the talk was of United's defence being the difference - well it was, but not in the way expected. Messi's header was good and all, but surely a defender within about ten feet of him might have been a nice idea? Iniesta was simply magnificent and the rest of the Barca midfield wasn't far behind - United had 8 good minutes and then after going behind against the run of play just weren't at the races.

A disappointing end to a great season for United, Barca absolutely worthy champions.

According to The Sun, Elano is off to Inter in a £9m deal. I guess we can take it that it won't happen.

I've had the pleasure of watching Barca play live at the Nou Camp (even though it was a friendly against Inter and Barca won 5-0) and I hope to get that chance again. So wonderful.
Wow, you watched a game at the Nou Camp. I am jealous of you. It is one of my life dreams I wish to fulfill some time.

I don't think we gave them enough respect- i kinda suspected that would happen. Before the Chelsea matches, all the talk was of how Barca were incredible and would rip them apart, and in the event, Chelsea managed to stifle them by playing ten men behind the ball and keeping it as tight as possible.

Before this match, all the talk was of how Barca are dodgy at the back and not actually that great because Chelsea nearly beat them. I think the team believed it and forgot to follow Hiddink's formula for getting a result- keep it tight, defend, get a goal on the break. We were never, ever going to out-football Barcelona.

I paid about 35 euros and I sat in the 3rd tier. As for any pre-game annoucements etc., knowing Spanish is no good, you would need to know Catalan to understand it.
