Mascarenhas usually takes a few balls to get his eye in and he's still not that great a bat/hitter so I don't really agree with him being promoted up the order generally.

Pollard is the sort of pace/bowler Dimi loves. Nothing wrong with the move and he only wasted one ball. Positive intent from England.

should have sent morgan ahead of colly, give him some time in the middle ahead of the world t20, also the perfect opportunity for him to have a swing at international level without fear of failure, this score is already out of the windies reach. short sighted decision sending in colly IMO.

He'll have time now. Prior gone. 87 at a run a ball for Prior, cracking innings that, proving that he can play OD cricket if he plays properly and doesn't try and slog.

Only England could get the wobbles at 4 for 290. The only pressure on them is their own, and they're struggling under it.

And Prior decides to reinforce the point. ;)

As I said he still takes a few balls to get his eye in, by which time he's generally back in the pavilion.

no it doesn't, it proves he can work around awful bowling for 25 overs, nothing else. if he'd done that against australia/india/south africa/pakistan then it might have proved something.

Might prove he can play OD cricket. Doesn't prove he can play ODI cricket unfortunately.

West Indies gave him so many boundary balls he could just bat normally and score at a run a ball.

He actually did it work them round for those overs though, he's not done it in the past, when he's been told to go up the order and slog. He constructed a very nice innings, irrespective of who it's against and how they performed. Prior's been slagged off for failing in ODi cricket, and now he actually performs well, and still gets ribbed. The bloke can't win. Sure the Windies bowled poorly, but he still had to cash in, and he did.

Collingwood gone. Going for a big slog at the end. Nice total this.
