Definitely. Melo was doing a good job on defence against Kobe late, but Denver should have never have allowed Kobe the ball when they needed to foul.Denver choked this one away. 21-32 from the line and the horror show from George Karl.
They look the team more likely to knick a game on the road this series. Kobe, Pau and Fisher all had to make huge play after play to win this for them. Melo was the only Nugget who played a good consistent 4 q's.
Was wanting the Thunder to win the lottery, and give them a chance to get Griffin to go along side Durant, Green, and Westbrook.Ouch, watching the draft lottery now. The Kings and Wizards got hosed big time.
Grizzlies, Thunder and Clippers are in the top three. The order is coming up pretty soon.
EDIT: ****ing Clippers get Griffin. Major comedown.
Think this could work out well for the Thunder though. Griffin being the star of OKU would obviously be a ridiculous draw in Oklahoma but I think they've got Durant earmarked as being a PF/SF swingman with his ever improving back to the basket game complimenting probably the most destructive outside game in the NBA right now. I think he's the franchise chip in their puzzle and a guy like Griffin would demand the ball equally which as we've seen with AI and Melo doesn't exactly work for a team like it theoretically should. Was wanting the Thunder to win the lottery, and give them a chance to get Griffin to go along side Durant, Green, and Westbrook.
Was watching Sportcenter last night, and was thinking the same. With Durant, Green and Westbrook as a core their biggest needs are PG and Centre. Seeing Rubio or Thabeet will probably drop into their laps is a godsend for them imo.
Pretty sure I'm not alone in saying I'd love to see this essay . Always enjoy reading your posts in this thread, especially seeing as I don't get to watch nearly as much NBA as I'd like to, and my bball knowledge is still really quite limitedThink this could work out well for the Thunder though. They famously traded for Tyson Chandler and Thabeet gives them very similar qualities. A 7'3 guy who is pretty athletic for his size with defensive presence that doesn't come along very often. He'd be a good pickup for them. Very raw with the ball in his hands but he won't need it to be there with Durant and Westbrook already in the lineup.
If Ricky is still on the board when they come to pick then it'd be even better IMO, but that post would be an essay. I'm so unbelievably high on Rubio; I'll be a fan for life of the team who drafts this kid. He's the mutts nuts. Would instantly become my favourite player in the NBA next year. The only issue would be how he handles the transition from Europe where teams play very strict systems, to the NBA where he'd be expected to play more iso and create in tough situations.
Haha, well 90% of it would be some form of man-love for Ricky so it's best if I spare everyone. Plenty of scouting reports around which are done by the pro's if you need a fix.Pretty sure I'm not alone in saying I'd love to see this essay .
