Would be good to see the associates v Zimbabwe. Will they have a 9 team comp though? Or bring in a 10th, which would most likely be Bermuda if they went in order of results at the Qualifiers recently.

Would be good to see the associates v Zimbabwe. Will they have a 9 team comp though? Or bring in a 10th, which would most likely be Bermuda if they went in order of results at the Qualifiers recently.
Zimbabwe automatically qualify despite endinghalf way down 2nd division last time.(lost it ireland and malaysia.)
Lets hope zimbabwe do not pick an all black team this time they picked 1 white look where they ended up.Them and their quotas

I feel Ireland with full strength could make a very good match V Zim, as close as Aus Vs Ind... Can't wait! Any idea when the fixtures gonna release?
I actually thought it got released today, but I guess it'll come out not long after Zimbabwe confirm their participation. Im hoping Kenya do well and players like Ragheb Aga make an appearance at some stage.

The cynic in me thinks that they only thew in the prize money because they have a ull member playing now.
And another question. if Zimbabwe get to walts bak into test cricket on the back of 2 or three seasons of shining in the Intercontinental cup what of the liks of ireland, who have shone ever since the tournament was inaugurated?

I don't think this is all good news at all. In fact I think it is yet another example of the ICC taking a wonderful opportunity to better the game and going about it half-arsed.
Great that there is now prize money (I think Andruid has something re the full member cynicism). Great that there are now 2 leagues. But why not get it right FFS
There should be 2 leagues absolutely. And it is a given that Zim must come into the higher of the 2. Namibia playing in Div 2 however is ridiculous. They topped the table after the group stage for crying out loud. Canada were 7th and irrespective of performance in the shorter versions of the game are the team that should make way. I do not believe IC places should be decided on 50 over games.
No promotion/relegation is also a joke. There is no reason this cannot be brought in.
Also if they are going to have 2 leagues, increase the second to 6 teams. IMO the leagues should be:
