Yes Saj was too short, especially to the more accomplished Chris Rogers, however, his pace was up there and when he bowled a slightly fuller length he caused problems, yet still got the bounce. His ball that bowled Pipe was a beauty. Not sure if it was a plan to try and pepper Rogers with the short ball, but it clearly failed, there was only one where he looked a little uncomfortable and took his eyes off the ball.

Be nice if Faf could convert his one day success into the 4 day game. Awesome one day batsman with an average which keeps getting better but his first class average has gone completely tit ass. Hovering around 35, he is far better player than that.

Chasing a D/L adjusted 208 to win at Glamorgan, started well with Horton and Smith 60-0, spin might be the key though. 4 wickets for Newby and Tom Smith bowled a double wicket maided to finish the innings off.

His dad is Ged Stokes who is a former NZ RL international and coach of Whitehaven in the National League. Stokes jnr arrived in England as a 12 year old and apparently has a cumbrian accent and has been selected for the U19's

Highest List A score for Tom Smith and his 3rd 50 in the FP so far this season, not sure we will see him opening again in FC cricket but you'd have to say with 245 runs @49 at the moment its been a mild success in OD cricket.

Sounds like James Harris has been a class above the rest of the Glamorgan bowlers as well

I suppose the caveat is its not really hard to look a class above the rest of the Glamorgan bowlers. Still an impressive record given he only turns 19 tomorrow. There doesn't seem to be anything remarkable about him in terms of bowling (not overly tall or fast, doesn't keep it particularly tight) but he seems to keep getting the wickets so presumably must do a bit with the ball. I'd like to see what pace he's bowling at as well, wonder when Glamorgan are on sky next

No, it's a pretty average Glamorgan attack to be fair, but even so, he is consistenly earning rave reviews which is pleasing. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

Comfortable win in the end for Lancs, and as you say, while Smith has looked all at sea in the longer format, his form has been pretty good in the FP Trophy at the top of the order. Helped by the consistency of Horton and Chilton, with du Plessis doing his bit also.

Glamorgan also have that Adam Shantry fella. He was averaging in the late teens before the start of this season. I've not seen him bowl, but he gets incredibly good on ICC 08! (The best judge of a players' potential of course ) Anyone know if hes actually decent, or just benefitted from a decent early start in Division 2? Has he got any pace or get any decent movement?

6'3 about 80mph but bowls left arm and is a swing bowler. At 26 I don't think he will get much faster. Can't believe Warks let him go.

So you post a 'final warning' for the sort of comment everyone makes regularly but because the NZ clique on here run around with their mass paranoia and hysteria I'm supposed to find some other area you don't care about like Yorkshire to poke fun at occasionally? And because you're so thoroughly professional you don't even bother to notify me directly, you just casually leave a post in the middle of a thread which most of the time I wouldn't even have noticed - which probably explains why I don't recall any other 'warnings'.

If you want to change the rules so you have to be all warm and fuzzy about NZ and the band of zealots (eg Voltman) then go ahead.

Whilst that warning came out of the blue, I can't say I sympathize.

Love being called a zealot though (because I suspect you'd put me next to Volty), means I can castigate NZ players I dont like and not be told off anymore coz even the zealot says they suck. Yussss. Cheers Scaly.

You're continuing to poke fun at NZ in an un-necessary manner, and due to the obvious annoyance many members have with your posting based off reported posts we receive, you need to clean up your posting style. And I suggest you have a read of the forum atmosphere rule which has been around since Day 1.
