What a match! Roll the clock back to last year, when Yuvraj Singh pulled off a run out off the last ball of the match to seal a nerve-wracking win for Kings XI Punjab,. The opponents, then too, were Mumbai, and they suffer an almost identical fate this time.

What a game!

Warney - hats off to you! What a legend...

He is the one who injects that special confidence in the team who does not have any big star...

Who would have thaught that Munaf can take that catch? [ 1st wicket ], also he bowled a splendid last over - damn we dont have him in our T20 World cup squad...

Just watching highlights, don't really care about the result, but what the **** is with that commentator telling us all that the "umpire has to believe some part of the bowler's foot is grounded behind the line" in the case of a front-foot no-ball. If you're going to be a commentator, at least learn one of the most common laws in the sport. Ridiculous.

Whatever it takes!!!
Anyone who thinks Sachin is anything special as a captain just has to look at yesterday's game...

It is a 20 over game.. so what do we do? We make sure our best players bat at 4, 5 and 6 and ensure they don't get enough overs in an already short format of the game.....

In other news, Warne is the real cricketing GOD.

Damn, is there anything/anyone he cannot motivate and get the best out of????????

As an aside, the commentating in general has been a ****ing disgrace.

The worst of it was on Wednesday, with Morrison and that geeky Indian with glasses, who was going down the slide FFS. Cricket is braindead.

The geeky guy is Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. A leg-spinner who played for India in the past.

I thought we were the only ones cursed with having to sit through their commentary.

Well the previous match he had sent Bravo up the order and he performed, as did rahane. This is just bad luck. But anyways Sachin is not a good captain. I feel he takes too much pressure on himself for the teams performance. You could see the strain on his batting after the first few defeats.

Sachin is a very disappointing captain. Of course here he has a limited team to work with but he hasn't done a great job. The batting order was ridiculous.

Then he talked at the presentaion of the team getting into a panic at the end. That is true but he has to ask himself what role he played in it. He is so tense himself. He gets out and goes out and keeps his pads and helmet all on. Okay he is superstitious but it is such a great visual clue to the skipper being tense.

On top of that he refuses to talk to anyone, sits by himself and does not smile or look at anyone.

Even when Abhishek Nayar hit that last six to relieve the tension palpably and all around him everyone broke into loud applause, and cheering and jumping, he sat impassively like the Buddha or worse, as if he was attending a funeral.

If the team and the batsmen coming in are tense, it is natural but then you need the skipper to talk to them and tell them to relax and go on and try their best but not to be tense for its just a game.

Unfortunately he was in no position to do it since it wasn't (and has not been for many years now) a game to himself.

People talk of Sachin being a choker. I disagree but the difference between a choker and someone who is too tense in a tight situation is not great.

It has always affected his game and is most apparent when he leads the side - in IPL or in international games.

Tendulkar definitely isn't a choker but he isn't a great captain, he's someone who is constant pursuit of perfection in his own game, he tries to take that approach into captaincy but it doesn't work, you have to be willing to compromise. Captaincy also reduces the amount of time he can spend on his own game, not a good thing for him. Srinath once said that Tendulkar found captaincy difficult because he didn't understand players' limitations because he himself had few, if any.
