My sentiments exactly........although I don't like the idea of Sleazebags like Mallya owning a cricket team very much either.............just feels like cricket is soiled every time sleazos like him appear anywhere near anything cricket.
I don't have too much of a problem with Mallya, as he's relatively patriotic (at least that comes in play in auctions) and he's a businessman, so he knows where to spend his money. He doesn't seem to get it right with the F1 team, and got a few things wrong with this team as well.

I have a problem with those film stars because they've booted out young and prominent domestic Indian cricketers, to accommodate the massive support staff, or friends and associates, or just to cut costs.

I didn't know that! I thought you'd have something suggesting you're Indian, like the other Indians based in Australia- the flag, the T-shirt, the BCCI logo, any Indian cricketer, or any quote by or about an Indian cricket personality.
Love Inzy too much to have anyone else but him as my avatar. 8-)............but in my defense I had Lalit Modi staring at Preity Zinta's behind as my last avatar.

These Tishani Doshi columns are so yucky...can't read beyond the first three lines...even the titles are ugh! Now she's complaining about the IPL trophy. As someone said, cheerleader Rebecca Lee's columns are so much better.

They're by far the worst things ever to appear on cricinfo.

I wonder what's worse, those columns (she isn't a very famous person in India anyway) on Cricinfo or Mandira Bedi's columns in Times of India- for those who don't know, she's a prominent TV/film actress who's got a bad hairdo, worse dress sense, even worse makeup and very little cricketing sense, who bugs us daily between matches on SET MAX. Maybe international viewers are spared of this.

Good to see McCullum hit form. Needs to start hitting earlier though so when he falls it doesn't hurt his team too badly. Kallis's turn to play the match-losing innings today.

You ain't alone there
I actually looked at their team stats for this year and last year combined and Taylor stands out by a mile.

BRC top run scorers:
Dravid - 537 @ 26.85 22 M
Kallis 473 @ 23.65 21 M
Boucher 342 @ 35.50 17 M (5 NO)
Kohli 323 @ 16.15 24 M
Taylor*current innings inc. 313 @ 34.77 10 M (1NO)

His SR is also 163.87 the closest out of the metioned is Boucher at 130.

If he gets it to swing he will cause trouble (and he got an international batsman out yesterday). Still a very canny bowler and conditions in England should/could aid him.
How did Vass bowl in the last T20 WC?, i sort of remember him getting some tap..
