***Official*** West Indies in England

Norwood's on Fire
Broad has looked better of late, apparently he was cranking the pace up to his ODI levels yesterday as well, though I know some are questioning the speedgun

Surely a better option than Broad though. I mean Broad can bat a bit but he is dead weight with the ball.
Hmm nah he was pretty useful in the West Indies. Gained a few Ks too. Sidebottom's properly gone. After seeing him at Lancs on Saturday I'd have more faith in Simon Jones's fitness.

It's a bit unfortunate and difficult to take because he was a quality bowler.

Not Terrible
I thought he is a very good bowler.
 Your tense is all over the place there, 'thought' being past and 'is' being present. So you either 'think he is' or 'thought he was'.

Sorry about that, just a little weird thing I have about the correct use of tense in a sentence.

What about him?
I think people are happy with England going with stupid punnable names. Can't say I'm delirious about it.

Nah, Broads done enough to be picked. He's not perfect, but then neither is anyone else who would be picked. I'm quite happy about having bowlers that don't look like they're carrying an injury, seems a novelty. Which is another reason we don't want to be looking at the likes of Davies and Tremlett.

Fascinating seeing the feature on Sir Gaz in the lunchbreak. Some of the Windies greats look in amazing nick. Sir Everton must be closer to 80 than 70 and looks like he could still be useful in a club game.

All said the same thing, pretty much. He was the best. Lost interest in the game after he retired tho, which is a terrible shame.

He has taken 200 wickets @ 27 since 2006 season. I think it is one of the better consistent displays from an English seamer in county cricket.

One thing I like about Onions is how close he gets to the stumps when he bowls. Means he only needs a very small amount of movement to trouble batsmen.

Phil Tufnell is so inarticulate and his knowledge of cricket can be written on a post-it note.

Sonny Ramadhin is apparently out there batting.

Jeez WI have been abysmal!

Their fielding, bowling (aside from Edwards and others for verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry short periods) and batting aside from Smith has been absolutely disgraceful

Onions, who looks no better than your average county trundler, has 7 for nothing - that sums it up for mine!

At least they've done Oz a favour - if this Eng team plays Oz, it's got another 5-0 written all over it

Steady. 'Stralia ain't quite what they were either.

Harsh on Onions too, doubt he'll be a world beater but he's moving it both ways at a decent lick.

Modest oppo, but the bowling has gone about as well as I dared hope for.

Has to be careful, he could turn into Ian Austin...
Yeah, never going to be svelte, Brezza. Few pounds to catch up with Bunny tho.

Actually looked ok after the loosener tho. Bit of outswing to the righthander when he pitched it up.

Does beggar the question how someone who bowls medium quick for a living can get away with carrying thatsort of weight

Fair question.

Stress fracture waiting to happen.

Beefy's effectiveness decreased in inverse proportion to his weight.
