Bresnan: likes a pie, it's fair to say. What is it about chubby Yorkshire seamers?! Goughy, Sid and now Brezza.

If him and Patel are ever in the same team things could get decidely ugly at teatime if there's only one slice of bakewell tart left.

England really have been piss poor. Playing a team bordering on competency they would have been all out around tea. Pathetic.

For once I agree with you. This WI bowling attack shouldnt even be bowling out Bangladesh, and yet they have England reeling.
Tbf, in Edwards and Taylor they have two good quality test match seamers who get into England's team without too much difficulty. The attack ain't all that bad (though Baker and Benn are pretty poor).

The quality of cricket today has been shockingly poor from everyone bar Edwards. Theres nothing worse than watching 2 poor teams trying to underperform the other.
So no different from the earlier series in WI?

Fortunately I'm watching IPL and haven't wasted my time with this test.

Everyone talks about how test cricket is the "real deal" and T20 is garbage, but looking at the standard of cricket being played and the quality of players at the different grounds, one really begins to wonder.

As I said, people who judge T20 from the 200 def all out for 70 blow-outs are equally as stupid as those that judge test cricket from the last 5 (including the farcical abandoned game) Eng vs. WI tests.

You determine that how? By their averages or their actual ability?
Yeah, given the general arseitude of the fielding I reckon you can knock at least 5 runs off their averages for a truer reflection.

Two of the best three seamers playing in this test are West Indian IMHO.

You can wonder, if you want, I won't. A bad days Test cricket is worth twenty games of pointless franchise cricket, IMHO.

Criminal if Fidel doesn't get 5.

Ravi's innings aside, disappointing day for England. Lucky to still be in but they can still get 350 and that isn't a truly terrible score.

I determine that by how they played today. Taylor hasnt looked like taking a wicket all day today, and I find him vastly overrated anyhow. Hes a decent bowler, but he really hasnt looked threatening at all today.

If Baker is test class then Im Santa Claus. Im surprised hes even playing over Richardson or Pascale

Benn has gone ok, in conditions where he should have probably done far better in.

Only Edwards has looked at all like taking wickets today and the England batters have all gotten out playing poor strokes and poking at deliveries outside the off stump. There must have been at least 10 catches dropped today, most of which were sitters. Bopara was out 3 times on his way to 100 (1 lbw, 2 drops), Broad was dropped 4 times on the way to 38. Prior was dropped as well. And despite all of that England are 7 wickets down for 289 on what is a relatively slow and flat pitch.

Haven't seen most of the innings after falling asleep before lunch but Taylor good in his first spell and Baker was looking good.

I dont think getting into the England side is much of an accomplishment. They have a more competent attack than they have had since Walsh retired but its still hardly one to be feared.
