Has anyone seen Nottinghamshire’s young giant fast bowler, Luke Fletcher? His had a good start to the season.

‘Speedster’, Stuart Meaker is in the Surrey’s side. Interested to see how he gets on.

Yorkshire's Joe Sayers will get a nose bleed soon. His strike-rate is over 60.

Yeah, there's a lot expected of him.

Whether he will make the grade at top level (or even county atm) level is up for debate, but he's certainly the fastest bowler we've had since Devon Malcolm and has goo accuracy.

Hopefully he steps it up. I'd like him to have a good run, it's pointless giving him 1 FC match here and there. I'd like him to have 6 or 7 CC games in a row.

Harsh to call all three of Mahmood, Newby and Keedy number 11s. I remember Keedy being called 'the best number 11' in the country several times. Mahmood once won an ODI with the bat as well.
Murali won an ODI with the bat too, doesn't mean he's Bradman.

Woakes just dismissed Vaughan apparently.

Durham making Sussex look good again. Irritating.

Parnell. Hope he gets his maiden ton. :)

Geraint Jones is batting 3 for Kent. Got some problems, haven't they?

Parnell gets another 50. He's looking good for his century. It's fantastic considering how badly Kent collaped.

Ramps first 100 of the county season.

I see Jeetan Patel is Warwickshire's overseas player. Bit strange signing an offie for early season.

No. 104 up for Ramps. Always interesting to see players perform against their old county. He was averaging over 100 v Middx even before today, but then he averaged almost 69 for them v Surrey as well.

Very uneven scorecard that for Kent. Seven batsmen managed seven runs between them.

Dreadful from Kent, save for Northeast, Parnell and Tredwell. Really ought to be making more than 282 against Glamorgan when you've won the toss and batted. Hopefully we'll perform better in the second innings, as we did last week, but it's irritating to miss out on bonus points.

Parnell looks like an inspired signing though...

Good fightback from Durham, finished 318-7 stumps after being 104-5. Hopefully grab another batting point and then tear up Sussex' lineup.

Saw him on the first day of Lancs game against Notts last week. His opening spell was relatively pacy, hitting just back of a length pretty consistently, not one short ball though. If I was critical of anything in his opening spell it was that Lancs batsmen did not have to play too much, so although it all looked nice, he was thumping the ball into Read's hands at a decent height, it wasn't very threatening. It was his first-class debut so certain allowances have to be made.

His spells thereafter were of lesser pace, probably just judging off my eye, around late 70's to early 80's, but kept things reasonably economical throughout the day. Got good bounce because he is such a big guy, with more strength will presumably be able to maintain his speeds throughout the day.
