If you had told anyone that Bangalore would make the final 4 after last years efforts and the start they had (and you also told them their Messiah was going to be a massive flop) they'd laugh in your face, I reckon.

And the all top 7 are not just as likely to win, because some of the sides are better than others. Dehli for example, is much more likely to be there than any of the others because they're a lot better than the others.
Bangalore always had a chance from the beginning IMO. They were going to come back stronger than last year, that I was almost sure of.

Tyagi shoots one which bounces off Gibbs' legs and hits the stumps. Good start. A lot better than Gony.
Not saying Tyagi is there yet, he has a long long way to go but he has promise. Gony meanwhile was way over rated last year.

I can't believe he played for India last year, he is such a poor bowler. And he is really slow too, I mean whats his top speed?

He should bowl quicker because he is such a big guy, but yeah he is slow. I'm guessing that if a young Indian player does well in the IPL, he will get a chance for India in 20/20 or ODI cricket.

That's why I'm not a fan of 20/20 cricket, guys like David Warner become overnight stars with one good innings.

Yeah it gets pretty stupid, even players like Yusuf Pathan. I mean, wow you can hit spinners, can you do anything else. Oh that's right, abit of off-spin.

Not that I care too much about the games but on the last few Delhi Daredevils scorecards i've seen Vettori has been left out, either he is injured, which is a big problem for NZ, or the Daredevils are ******** and have left out the best T20 bowler in the world. Which is it? Hopefully the latter.
Thank god he isn't injured.

Lets hope they leave him on the sidelines, less chance of injury before proper cricket starts up again.
T20 cricket isn't meaningless cricket and it is not ******** to leave Vettori out if that means including the likes of Warner. Nannes isn't bad either.

So who should they play.............?

Who cares if they can both keep, McCullum is one of the best 20/20 players in the world. He deserves to be there, it's not like Kolkata have anyone better.
You would think they could play another bowler instead of McCullum - Mendis. MCCullum has totally not been in form this tournament.

van Wyk should be in the playing XI ahead of McCullum with the dire form McCullum is in. We shouldn't be playing two keepers. McCullum should have stepped down and let another foreign player play. If there was need for Kolkata Knight Riders captaincy change it is now.
4 overseas players, van Wyk, Hodge, Hussey and Mendis.

Some one said that Buchanan shouldn't be blamed as coach as he can't do much if his team is failing abysmly in the field. Well Buchanan deserves to get flack. He first introduces the multiple captain theory which totally destabalises the team and shifts focus from performance to captaincy. Then he makes moves such as sending one of India's best openers and batsman with good technique - Aakash Chopra back home based on a few games. It is not as if he has loads of batsmen waiting in the wings to bat for him. Ganguly as captain was a simple choice. Why complicate it and make some one new a captain when you have India's most successful captain there to lead you. He played with his heart on the sleeve for India and plays with even more passion, if that's possible for Bengal, like Tendulkar for Mumbai (Tendulkar averages 80-100 in FC when he plays for Mumbai).

Maybe they should allow a couple of specialist fielders on the ground? It's not ideal, but the current levels of fielding are really hurting the game.
interestingly they have changed the rule that only four international should be on filed including the Subs

this after CSK complained about warner the 5th overseas player on filed inflicted couple of run out in their game aganist DD

No it's not when so much money is involved. It is serious cricket out there which is being played competitively by both teams. There are 7 teams vying for a semi-final spot.
And it has arguably launched or affected some careers.

Are you dead set saying Yusuf Pathan wouldn't make the NZ ODI team? Or at least be very near replacing Elliot and Guptill. He is a very very valuable limited overs cricketer.

Some Kiwi fans launching at the IPL here, and I'm quite confused why. Because the NZ players haven't done well?

Not the IPL's fault McCullum has been ****.

When he was belting a hundred in the first match everyone was cheerful.
