This Heat-Hawks series has been hideous to watch. Someone please put an end to this ****. Hopefully Round 2 of the West will pick things up, some cracking possibilities there.

well whoever wins is going to be thumped by the cavs so it doesn't matter all that much who advances...

Q: A reader named Zo in Arlington, Va., asked this one: "Who do you think mailed in their performance more: Matthew Fox in this season of 'Lost' or Rasheed Wallace in Round 1?"

A: Matthew Fox. At least Sheed looked like he still enjoyed the pregame chest bumps a little. Fox has dueling "Guys, this is stupid, can't we just fast-forward to 2009 again?" and "I should be getting huge paychecks to star in crappy romantic comedies" looks on his face.

Q: I love the NBA's new playoff commercials, so what would be the funniest slow-motion, black-and-white commercial to see with that piano music playing?

A: I thought of this idea myself and then a few readers sent in similar thoughts. The funniest ever would be Bennett Salvatore's bogus call from 40 feet away of Dirk's slight shove on Wade in Game 5 of the 2006 Finals, followed by the crazed reaction of Dallas' bench. This would be the funniest one ever. It just can't be topped. I would laugh and laugh. A close runner-up would be any shady Tim Donaghy call from any playoff game, or even better, Donaghy watching a playoff game from jail and getting jumped by three other inmates.

 That and more form Bill Simmons' Q&A on the playoffs so far. Easily the best NBA writer out there.

Q: What needs to happen for Vinny Del Negro to get through a half without using his 20-second timeout?

A: The answer involves a ski mask, duct tape and a Taser. Which might also be how he got hired.
Haha, that was some fun reading.

Wasn't to be prowler. Gave it a good shake though, all neutrals have a lot of love for this young Bulls team now.

Imagine of Gordon hit that three from the full-court turnover? Would've gotten it back to 3 points.
Or if he could've made a couple of the 16 shots he missed out of 23. Or, hey here's an idea, try setting up a play for Hinrich, you know the guy who was hot in the fourth quarter from the beginning and had 12 points just in that period?!

Absolute **** coaching. I'm proud to see the boys playing so hard throughout the series and going farther than most people thought they would, but a case could be made that Chicago could've won this series in 6 games if not for some absolutely horrible plays drawn up towards the end of each game.

Still, am satisfied with most of the players' performance, especially Noah, Rose, Gordon, Hinrich. Tyrus was missing in action a lot and Salmons wasn't as consistent as I was expecting him to be. Miller had a couple of great games (game 6 comes to mind). Gordon really needs to stop being such a ball hog and one could say that we won game 6 thanks to the Celts fouling him out. He thinks he's Allen, except Allen knows when to pass and is a better shooter than Gordon. Probably also helps that Doc Rivers doesn't plan 75% of the plays around him.

Anyway, the Bulls got the much needed playoff experience and hopefully will learn from their mistakes and start strong next season.

That was great, Denver just punked the Mavs hard. Cuban's face was priceless. Have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy this series.

Great series. Imagine of Gordon hit that three from the full-court turnover? Would've gotten it back to 3 points.
The Bulls had countless chances to win in basically every game but found a way to lose it. Shame, Boston were very much there for the taking but the turnovers, bad shots and general clueless coaching let Chicago down time and time again.

The Nuggets are too athletic and aggressive for the little Mavs to handle. Kenyon Martin said before the series that he will “grab, push, hold..do whatever” to guard Dirk. He sent a message to Dirk within minutes of the game starting by knocking him down. By the end of the night, Dirk was visibly flustered by all the aggressive play. And man, did the Nuggets put on a Dunk Fest! It was like watching an All-Star game. Each time a Nugget would come barreling towards the rim, all the Mavs would scamper away in fright. I think we’ll see more of the same in the coming games, with the Nuggets easily taking care of business.

This is ridiculous. Magic were up 28 in the 3rd but now we're back to it being a 4 point game with 1:36 left. Unbelievable.

EDIT: This time Pierce and Allen can't get it done in the 4th. Amped for Rockets-Laker next up. Kobe is carrying an injury and the Lakers haven't been at their best so far, this will be fun. C'mon Yao!
