Terrible performance but a decent result in the end. We havent conceded a home goal this year in the Champions League and are quite free scorers there so still very much in this tie.

Adebayor was a disgrace though, his workrate and delusions that he's Thierry since he got his new contract are disgusting. The less said about playing Diaby in these huge games the better. I can almost understand us defending so badly when it means one of those two above will eventually find their way on the ball, almost a pointless exercise to try and win possession. Team and manager needs a good kick up the backside for the second leg, this wasn't good at all.

EDIT: And for a kid who had absolutely zero help from those in fornt of him, take a bow Kieran Gibbs. ****ing excellent.

Well he has the toothless performance in the big games nailed down.

Basically the tie is for Manure to lose.

Young Gibbs looked so composed. Wenger knows talent...

Arsenal really need two top-quality defensive mid-fielders than Song n Denilson. They aint ready yet. Potential options for next season i'd suggest would be Barry, Poulsen, Senna,, Moutinho, Mierles, M Diarra.

The number of times he was left with a two on one with Diaby strolling back into position was horrible tonight. Honestly, if he was to take a brick to Abou's face for the help he got from him no-one in the team could possibly complain. Fair play to the lad.

One of the worst divers in the EPL from what I've seen is Stevie G. Just not sure what Roseboy is trying to point out...suspect it's something re: the Carrick penalty?

Yeah, or the English commentators going xenophobic every time someone from outside these shores does it as though it's unheard of amongst the glorious Englishmen.

True. Not like Neville doesn't dive, same for Rooney and pretty much every other player in the league these days. It's a shame, but sadly we all have to put up with it until they get some kind of retrospective technology-aided punishments implemented for people who clearly do it.

The Scottish commentators are worse in that regard, someone like alan brazil is always waffling about it. It's always been bollox though. Francis Lee was the biggest diver ever, and Exeter had a player called Steve Neville, who threw himself to the floor with monotonous regularity.

Fabio Cannavaro reckons he turned down Man City. I don't know if he that is ture or not as he was always going back to Juventus anyway.
