10% more than the highest paid guy of IPL'08, if I m not wrong .... he is the icon player for B'bayHow much is Tendulkar getting paid?
Is there a link to see IPL players' salaries?

let's see how your line up looksDC got loads of runs from Sanath and Dhawal (economy of eleven, one wicket), while the others did fine (average economy of seven, total seven wickets). Moreover, we don't know if Sanath can take that load- they need runs more than wickets. JP may be a good batsman, but he wasn't up to the task of covering up for the massive bowling inadequacy- Gilchrist, Gibbs and (in other matches) Sharma, however, did just that. Besides, MI still have Sanath, Sachin, Bravo, Nayar and Dhawan isn't too far behind. Rahane is a good batting option, and with superlative performances season after season in FC matches, he shouldn't be left out. Kyle Mills, for all the trouble, is a full-fledged strike bowler who has done well for New Zealand on countless occasions, and is way ahead of the Kulkarni/Sanath/Raje combination. As for an Indian bowling option, there's Rahil Sheikh, but it's too big a risk.
Here's my lineup, with a bowling fix in mindlet's see how your line up looks
Not to forget humiliating the 'Icon' Player in the manner he was removed from captaincy. I have no problem with removing him from captaincy but please do not humiliate the guy for no reason.Forgive me if I'm wrong Sanz, but I thought you were from Kolkata originally.
EDIT: Ignore this post. Just saw in the other thread you were pissed off that they removed 'Kolkata' from the team name.
Fair enough. Particularly if they're looking to change cities.
Yeah, was very impressive. The only passage of play I managed to catch was the Deccan collapse.Great death bowling by Malinga.
It doesn't look good. The selectors said that the IPL would be a benchmark for World T20 selection, but seeing few outstanding Indian performances, and teams being heavily dependent on imports, the options at present are not good. Moreover, teams dependent heavily on imports (notably the Deccan Chargers) are doing well, while teams loaded with India prospects (especially the Kings XI Punjab) are struggling. So far, only RP Singh looks likely on form.btw, what are the suggestions for Indian team for T20 WC? which players are shaping up well, iyo?
That's why you need your top five bowlers handling all 20 overs. You can't risk even an over of filler rubbish.I think T20 is more abt batting than bowling.
Those are not bowling options. Certainly not to win a tournament. It's better to have four overs going either way rather than going the wrong way- when they go the right way, they can change the match.Wouldn't risk playing an extra overseas bowler in place of someone like Duminy for 4 overs which could go either way and when I have bowling options in Jayasuriya, Nayar, Indian bowler, and Tendulkar.
Bravo should fit the bill. Fine, he's not a specialist, but he's doing just right. Dhawan is under-rated and should be thought of as a middle-order key. Rahane also deserves a try.And they also need an experienced batsman in the middle order. Since Dhawan opens why not make him open in a few games to see how he goes
No, not Ronchi! He was EPIC FAIL in the last edition, despite enjoying more than a little time in the sun (and under lights). Pinal is doing very well as a wicketkeeper, and he's also a recognised batsman for Baroda (and also holds a batting record). Well, actually, Bravo's exit would weaken the Mumbai attack a lot unless they play Malinga, Dilhara and Mills together. When Bravo leaves they can play an overseas bowler or bring in Ronchi to keep wkts and play another bowler/all-rounder in place of Pinal
There's nothing that's seriously wrong with the MI batting, as there is with the fifth bowler. With Mills bowling, you'll at least keep a maximum of 170, which shouldn't be too tough for this batting lineup. Without him, however, you'd be lucky to be chasing a target under 170, and they don't look convincing while chasing. They had a full batting lineup, but even against a relatively weaker bowling attack, they failed to chase a rather low total. If you replace Duminy with Rahane, it's no big loss, as the conditions are batting-friendly, the replacement is no mug with the bat and the rest of the batting lineup is strong. In comparison, that fifth bowling option in use now is weak enough to make a case for Dilhara to play.If MI's batting was stronger then yes, they could play in Mills in stead of Duminy but that's not the case. Even with Mills playing as the 5th bowler, you can't hope to restrict the teams for 150 or less on a constant basis. On the other hand, MI needs batting to help it get to 180, which is a total that their bowlers can defend well
If Pollock had been playing, it would have been a different story!
Hope the weather stays like that during the T20 WC!Another game rained off?!
I got a bit sunburnt today, watching a local club cricket match.
He's always looked quite mediocre to me. Today he was unsuccessfully targeted- credit to him for coming out on top- but what's his use in real cricket? In the ODIs i've seen him in he's been quite easy to milk without really threatening, and he's unlikely to ever have it in him to take test wickets.Ojha is a real prospect. Very promising.
Yep, totally agree. Not to forget humiliating the 'Icon' Player in the manner he was removed from captaincy. I have no problem with removing him from captaincy but please do not humiliate the guy for no reason.
What next ? Chris Martin can bat too, it is T20.They don't have Pollock, so they'll have to make do with Mills, who himself can score a few runs lower down. This is T20, after all.
