You also have to consider the crowds, with so few English players in it, and even fewer getting a game it wouldn't have been a good atmosphere. Also don't let 4 days of nice weather fool you, we all know the rain will come... Also with the County season on the availability of decent grounds, the stadiums in England are considerably smaller than SA and most wouldn't have been available.

Then there's the touchy issue of another countries' domestic competition being held on English soil, can't imagine the relics at the county committee liking that too much...

A ring-side view of the KKR team.

A few clues:
Lordy - Ganguly
Skipper - McCullum
Kishan Kanhaiyya - Ravi Shastry
Mr. Batliwala - Mallya
Badshah Dildo - Shah Rukh Khan (Owner of KKR)
Appam Chutiya - Sreesanth
Calypso King - Chris Gayle

Durban has the highest rainfall of any of the cities used in April/May. Suprisingly more than Cape Town (I looked)

Of course, as you say, the downfall of Gauteng having zero rain is that is is freezing in the morning and at night. Days are fine though.
highest rainfall or highest number of days it rains?....proberbly just really pisses down on the odd day it rains.

BRC vs DC, a short analysis based on probably 11 on cricinfo, who occasionally gets it wrong

Opening
BRC: Uthappa and Ryder
DC: Gilly and Gibby
Comment: While both teams have players who can com good on their day, DC has proven match-winners

3-5
BRC: Kallis, KP and Dravid
DC: Laxman, Rohit and Styris
Comment: KP gives BRC an edge on paper

6-8
BRC: Kohli, Akhil and P Kumar
DC: Rao, Teja and Harmeet
Comment: you pick

Bowling:
BRC: Styen, Praveen, Kumble, Kallis, others
DC: Edwards, RP, Ojha, Styris, others
Comment: Since it's played at Capetown, BRC have guys like Styen, Kumar and Kallis who can make use of the conditions, while DC will have to rely on good performances by Edwards and RP, along with hoping that Ojha spins well in the conditions

While BRC has the team to do well in these type of conditions, DC has guys who are in form and can take the game away so it will be an interesting contest

Gilly on fire.

Also read this earlier, if so then good on him.

Adam Gilchrist is doing his bit for charity. Every time he hits a six, one disabled Australian will receive a motorcycle. The bike will be specially modified to suit their needs.

KP making a field change every ball.

Kumar gave him daggers after two balls whilst Steyn looks like he couldn't give a toss. He is bowling with no pace at all.

Bangalore still don't look like a good team. Even their $1.5million captain has only scored 3 50's in 31 T20 innings.

Deccan Chargers are good with their batting and their bowling. They, Chennai, Mumbai and another team will reach the semis. I am backing Warne's Royals as the 4th team but it can be just any one with Bangalore Royal Challengers also in the mix of things.

Don't rate Deccan, personally, don't have a lot of international depth nor Indian depth and the internationals they field are very hot and cold.

Could get into the top four though. KXP and KKR are worse than Deccan, and Royals look rubbish so far with so many players missing.

If anything Deccan's downfall will be their bowling but apart from that for me Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Rajasthan/Deccan to take it for the semi final spot.
