Shocker from Rajasthan.

I'd like to congratulate Warne for doing what everyone who has watched county cricket in the past 2 years knew was the right thing to do, but no England captains ever had the balls to implement- giving Mascarenhas the new ball.

Shame about the hilarious batting.

It'll only really work in these sorts of conditions or on a green surface, in India, Pakistan or Australia he'd get 7 kinds of **** thumped out him without taking a wicket if given the new ball, well he probably wouldn't get hit that badly but he wouldn't take wickets. The collapse was predictable, basically Smith had to score big if they were to have any chance.

Hmm Dimi generally moves the new ball whatever the conditions. The point is that it's by far the best time to bowl him, so if he's picked that's what he should do. England seem intent on turning him into a middle-overs trundler.

Anyone else think Gambhir and Warner should open and play the new ball and let Sehwag bat in the middle order when the ball does'nt swing? Warner has played in Australia and will not find RSA conditions much different and could be a safer bet in the opening slot with the technically sound Gambhir.

Warner's played in SA as well.

Listening to Goughy trying to pronounce the Indian players names is hilarious.

If we do get some play today, then Delhi are going to win. Stronger all-round squad. Nannes and Vettori in the bowling attack are key, 2 of the premier T20 bowlers in the world. Just wish the rain would bugger off.

The organisers refusing to skimp on the 7 minute break despite the prospect of losing overs is quite outstanding.

14 overs aside....reduced but still get the full 7.5 minute 'tactical' break in each inning...gotta have time for tactics
