Wondering where they'd play home matches, though.
What do you mean? These countries do not play any matches, their status is purely for show and to make up the numbers once every four years in the WC.

Maximum likelihood analysis at 14:22 Orange time:

Ire, Can, Ned, Ken to the WC
Sco, Afg ODI status
UAE, Nam back to school.

.
They will get matches - not many v the Test sides, granted, but the matches between themselves and the opportunity to get onto the ladder.

Also with the newsworthiness of Afghanistan, i reckon they could well get plenty of matches as people will get caught up in the excitement.

So pleased for Afghanistan. If only they could have beaten Canada. :(

Saying that it isn't over yet. They need Snyman.

Nam looses another wkt. I was worried about Afghan batting but the way they imp as the tournament progressed is astonishing....

:39 PM And O'Brien strikes with his second ball, a mistimed pull straight into the hands of West at mid-on

Obanda's dismissal. Can't say I'm surprised. :@

for those of us who gave up maths 10+ years ago, what is the dummies version of what Namibia need to be bowled out for/Kenya to lose by?
95 runs in total between the two sides.

So, if Kenya lose by one run, Afghanistan need to bowl out Namibia for 149 or less for Afghanistan to qualify. If Kenya's margin is more, Afghanistan can afford to concede more runs.
