99*

International Debutant
EDIT: All players since the NFL's foundation in 1920 are eligible.

EDIT: Jamee wait, I'll give you Unitas for your pick right now.

Marvin Harrison (WR)

After getting such a strong defense in the opening round, I need to take my chances to get the best weapons on the other side of the ball - and here I have.

Harrison is a big, tall wide-out, who was a key part of the 2006 Super Bowl winning Colts team, and along with UNDRAFTED QB, is part of one of the most dominant offenses of all-time.

Marvin holds many of the receiving records in NFL history, including:
Most receptions in a single season with 143, set in 2002
Most receptions in a 2 season period (252, 2001-2002).
Most receptions in a 3 season period (354, 2000-2002).
Most receptions in a 4 season period (469, 1999-2002).
Most receptions in a 5 season period (563, 1999-2003).
Most receptions in a 7 season period (731, 1999-2005).
Most receptions in an 8 season period (826, 1999-2006).
Only player to 50 or more receptions in his first 11 seasons in NFL history.
Only player to have 4 consecutive 100 or more reception seasons in NFL history.
Only player to have 4 consecutive seasons with at least 1,400 receiving yards in NFL history.
Only player in NFL history to have 12 games with 8 or more receptions in a single season in 2002.
Harrison trails only Jerry Rice in 1,500 or more receiving yard seasons. He has 3 such seasons, Jerry Rice had 4.
With 59 career 100 yard receiving games, Marvin Harrison now ranks #2 all time behind Jerry Rice and his 76 career 100 yard receiving games.
Marvin Harrison is in second place for the most consecutive games with a reception with 204, and is now only behind Jerry Rice who had 274.
Second-fastest player to achieve 100 receiving touchdowns.
Only player with eight straight 1,000 yards or more and 10 or more receiving TD's.
Only player with eight straight seasons with at least 82 receptions.

He is second in all-time receptions, and one of only five men with 1000.

He has undoubtedly had a great QB during his NFL career, but so have almost all of the other best ever WRs, and in this league, Harrison will undoubtedly also have a great signal-caller.

No way, there are three QBs better than Unitas on the board! :p

If Jamee gets the QB I'm thinking of I'm going to die, Harrison, Sanders and PLAYER X. Honestly how can he drop so far?

Tbh, there's another QB I rank just behind UNDRAFTED QB (we have to be talking about the same guy). And then another not that much further behind who might not be drafted at all.

I had:

Montana = UNDRAFTED QB
UNDRAFTED QB

Elway = UNDRAFTED QB

Unitas
Young
Favre

But some of the gaps are just my opinion, obviously, there's not a huge gap between many of these.

Would argee with that.

Thinking about it I would have my preferance list as (for QB's):

Player X (MIA)
Montana (SF)

Player Y (MIN)
Player Z (GB)
Elway (DEN) (Spit)
Young (SF)

Player A (SD) (Homer pick)
Unitas (BAL)
Player B (DAL)

Bah, make Ryan Leaf look bad and being the brother of the the girl who refused to play for SD.

Plus he's a modern player.
I take it that's why you don't have QB Pats on their either.

Tbh, I could do without offensive players, just draft 11 guys to play the D, and a punter and we'll be fine.

Never won a Superbowl, yet you rank him above Montana, Elway, Unitas, Staubach, Favre, Aikman etc?

The idea of Staubach or Aikman being better than QB Dolphins is bizzare.

Fusion, you know you're up?

Montana and QB MIA are equal in my eyes. Both a class above the rest.

Using SB's as a judging method for QB's is risky anyway.

We're talking about All-Time greats here, and for that discussion championships weigh heavy in my analysis. You can break all the records during regular season and you'll rightfully be classified as a legend, but if you couldn't win the ultimate prize then you're a notch below those that did. Aikman won 3 titles, was the winningest starting quarterback of any decade in NFL history, was the most accurate passer in playoff history (66.5 completion percentage), and was ranked 2nd all time with a career playoff rating of 96.0.
Staubach won two titles and was a Superbowl MVP. You can take a regular season legend who owns all passing records, I'll take the guys with the rings every time when starting a team. :)

For sure. Championships are a factor but MIA QB has enough to put him above Staubach and Aikman without a ring.

I didnt select him as Im trying to craft a team that entertains me and I like mobile guys that extend the play but are throw first.

Young would have been my 1st pick and Farve (hardly ever ran forward) was my pick as he went side to side and backwards extending the play, just like MIN QB

BTW, who is up?

Time to pick QB Rams/Cards, imo.
