That would be apologising for the irresponsible shot selection of the likes of Ouma and Obanda, and even Tikolo's lack of form. If they are to bring in Waters it would have to be for a batsman. These guys have to shape up or ship out.

Im not so sure on that, if their main bowler bats in the top order, they need to have an extra batsmen in their to lighten the workload of Odoyo. Play a similar role to Mitchell Johnson. Also, I think Obanda needs to move down the order to number 6 as it doesnt appear he has the temperament for first drop, whereas I think Seren Waters does, as he has proven he has the ability to build an innings. Therefore, I feel a team with a look like this would be much stronger

Ouma
Otieno
Waters
Tikolo
Obuya
Obanda
Kamande
Odoyo
Varaiya
Ongondo
E.Otieno.

I think after having done more research throughout this tournament that that is the strongest side Kenya can field. People may not agree with this.

Kamande as captain? Not such a bad idea - he has experience at club and Elite League level.

Fair point re Odoyo with the bat - I was thinking more in terms of with the ball. Really he should be tearing through top orders.

I think Waters should come in for Obanda. Collins Obuya has scored more runs and though Obanda has greater talent, it is the former that should count at this point.

Whatever happens from here, Cricket Kenya are going to need to do some serious work to improve all aspects of the game. Weak grass roots leads to weak national teams.

Yeah its just Kamande's attacking frame of mind that captures me. You need to be aggressive as a captain, I think Tikolo is a defensive captain and lacks killer instinct.

I actually wrote up a whole draw of how I think the Kenyan domestic League should work last night, clearly I get bored.

Really encouraging tournament by Uganda. Kenya should watch out, these guys are seemingly coming on fast. Olwenyi seems to be a pretty consistent batsman and all of the top order throughout the tournament has contributed. I’ve read some encouraging things about cricket on a grass roots level as well.

Dropping Stander is going to haunt the Netherlands. Namibia are a pretty strong side, so no surprise to see them wake-up.

Afghanistan need a breakthrough, the Canadians are pretty soft underneath, especially with Davison missing.

Can’t say I feel for Kenya. They have a good talent in Waters, who scored runs the last time he played for Kenya yet his continually overlooked. Deserve all they get.

Where is it?

Anyway I fear Obanda is going down the Ashraful route. No thought regarding his next shot and no reflection on the previuos one. Irrespective of where he bats if he keeps that attitude he will continue to be unreliable as a source of runs.

Scotland 35/2. Ouma stumping Haq of Lameck. What a a legend!8-)

Again Otieno inly gor 3 overs!?

I only scribbled it down on paper. Obanda is very Ashraful like, good observation.
