Duh! Match delayed due to a floodlight failure.....hope this doesnt happen in IPL
If Johann Louw was bowling, I would agree with you.aussies can still win this thing.
Albie has the angle against the lefties just like Ntini - not a bad choice! Why Albie???
He also bowls like a chicken.Albie has the angle against the lefties just like Ntini - not a bad choice!
Is it? I didnt know thatHe also bowls like a chicken.
8 off an over is poor for anybody. Wicket was a run out.Is it? I didnt know that
Just 8 off the over and the wicket of Mitch!
So in your case its half empty glass.....8 off an over is poor for anybody. Wicket was a run out.
Not really. Contrast him with Kallis who hardly goes over 6 an over in the middle overs. Albie goes over 6+, 7+ consistently. So in your case its half empty glass.....
8 is GOOD when the opposition needs 15+ / over
Geeves and Hauritz might not be much good but to say they aren't specialist bowlers is just ****ing ridiculous. Do you think they were picked for their batting? No surprises really, can't really go into an international cricket game with 2 specialist bowlers and expect to win.
This isn't the Test side. Its a sad day but clearly Australia are in a very bad shape. Not surprising as has been said before with so many of their champion cricketers leaving in a span of less than two years.
Its difficult to come back from such an exodus unless there is a very powerful and highly talented group of youngsters pushing those seniors out. Thats not what happened with Australia. The seniors just grew too old to continue and there hasn't been the same class in replacements.
The faith put in the younger bowlers is touching but misplaced.
Australian cricket set up is still very strong and one hopes, it seems inevitable really, they will throw up some really good cricketers in due course but the next couple of years, at least, may belong more to South Africa and India than to the Aussies
Yes you are right but there is a certain listlessness about this side that is so uncharacteristic. This does not look like a side with unshakeable belief in itself as we are used to seeing. This isn't the Test side.
Fact is that we've had a heap of injuries and our batting line up and best bowler is out of form. We've got Watson, Symonds, Marsh, Lee and Clark coming back from injuries in the next month or so, so it's really nothing to be too worried about.
The only irreplaceable loss we've had is Hogg.
