Something funny here. The above scorecard is impossible. How could they have lost their 4th wicket at 80 with one of the batsment scoring 71? Also, a strike rate of 151 with only 2 boundaries in an innings of 71 sounds even more implausible.

Edit: they just corrected it. He in fact scored 21. They are also displaying 1 bowler who went for 30 off a single over - I suspect that should be 3.

Kervezee scored 17, I believe.

Meanwhile, Denmark making a fist of it against UAE, 175/3 off 28. Fredrik Klokker finally playing an innings of note. C'mon the Danes!

just seen the scorecard from the Bermuda innings having watched the first 40 overs unfold.
What the hell was Tikolo doing with the bowling changes?!?!?

Otieno goes for 3 runs off 3 overs, then gets pulled. Comes back for a second spell, takes a vital wicket and yet does not get 10 overs, yet Onyango who goes at 6 an over (the most expensive bar Tikolo - who should have pulled himself after his first), gets 10. The 2 supposed strike bowlers get 8 and 9 overs respectively, though granted they were not as economical as normal. Varaiya, the second most economical only gets 9 overs and Kamande, the 3rd in terms of economy gets 8. FFS!!!

Then we lose 2 senseless wickets to stupid shots

:furious:

As I stated earlier, I have often wondered about Tikolo's rotation of the bowlers. Otieno should've bowled 10, and Odoyo should always get 10. And another wicket falls as I type this.

Bit of a tense finish in the Orange vs Afghans game, Dutch need 45 runs of the last 8 overs with 5 wikcets in hand. Should be good, but not straightforward.

Maybe that could explain why these young bowlers struggle for consistency

absolutely. No idea why you would pull a bowler who has just bowled 3 over for 3 runs.
Also, Varaiya was pulled just after he took a wicket as well - madness when he is the type of bowler who so often gets a second within an over. Hope the skipper makes up for it with the bat.

Like the Irish, I need drink to settle down...

What I need is for Van Bunge or De Grooth to hit a couple of balls over the rope. FFS.

EDIT:

44.4 Samiullah Shenwari to DLS van Bunge, SIX Magnificent blow over forward square leg!
44.5 Samiullah Shenwari to DLS van Bunge, FOUR Pulled through midwicket.

Thanks.

Seems like he is a bit worried to bowl the inexperienced players.

better to bowl an inexperienced bowler going at 1 per over and give him experience than an experienced bowler who is going at 6 an over and give the game away.

That wasn't too bad in the end, the Dutch win by 5 wickets with 3.4 overs to spare. A third win, now they need to beat Bermuda and hope that Denmark indeed pulls off a great stunt by succesfully chasing 380 against UAE, and the campaign is back on track.

Denmark need 140 runs off the last 10 overs, so that won't happen, Kenya look like beating Bermuda.

As it stands, Kenya, UAE and The Netherlands will qualify for the S8 today. Afghanistan will take the 4th qualification spot unless Bermuda beat the Dutch on Wednesday. That will not happen, FFS.

Kevin O'Brien and Eoin Morgan see Ireland home fairly comfortably in the end. Still unbeaten with only Namibia left to play before the next stage.

From Group A, Ireland, Canada and Scotland have qualified for S8, while it's between Namibia and Uganda for the last spot. In fact, even Oman could go through if they trounce Uganda. In all likelihood, though, it will be Uganda into the S8 as they have by far the easiest opponent on Wednesday.
