There not much the ECB or ICC can do when RTD is the one technically requesting a release to play for Essex, not the other way around.

A couple of ODI's today with Ireland up against Canada, which should be a cracker of a game, and Kenya v Bermuda, which I think Kenya will be too strong for the Bermudans.

I'm a Denmark supporter today, because they need to keep UAE out of the S8's. Building a Lego cricket pitch as we speak.

All the teams that make Super 8's take in points they made against other super 8 teams in the group stage right?

Yes. So the Dutch win against Kenya was huge because it means they're two points in fornt right from the start of S8. If the UAE qualify, that advantage would be completely negated, plus the huge win by Kenya against UAE would mean Kenya would hold a distinct NRR advantage. So for the Dutch chances of qualifying ofr the WC it is pretty important the UEA don't get to the S8 stage.

So for Kenyan supporters, they'll be wanting a UAE victory.

Indeed.

It would also be helpful if the top Group A teams lose points against each other, i.e. Canada should beat Ireland today but then lose to Scotland. That would take those three through with 4 points, the same as Kenya and The Netherlands (and possibly UAE).

All this conditional on the orange idiots not slipping up against Afghanistan and Bermuda, Kenya not losing to Bermuda etc.

Rankin strikes for Ireland too, stinker from the umpire according to cricinfo. Euthanasia decision if the commentary leading up to it is anything to go by.
