Typical of Gibbs really. But can these imposters please go away and see the real South African team?Amla walking was a pretty strange sight. Asoka de Silva is a clown and how many times has Gibbs gifted his wicket to Hopes now?
They would have to demonstrate considerable improvement.South Africa Are a very gud side
they will surely win the ODI sreies after losing the 1st 1
I would like to see Clarke not open, but I can't think of anyone else to fill that gap.Need Ponting and Clarke to up it big time for us to win.
That was an issue highlighted during the England series but the problem during the recent series in Aus was despite winning 4-1, South Africa was always a bowler light. For me they need 3 ‘real’ seamers to play and If Boucher can’t bat six then maybe he should be dropped. SA can't expect Australia always to let JP Duminy get through 5 overs for relatively nothing or Albie Morkel to bowl 10 overs.Shock win by australia even more so haurie's 4 for, answer to albie, greater shock tho boucher batted 6.
Marsh is injured, I believe. Well, he was. Maybe he got dropped for this series.I would like to see Clarke not open, but I can't think of anyone else to fill that gap.
What happened to Shaun Marsh, anyway?
Good win, though. Somewhat unexpected, especially Hauritz's performance.
The bowling does look better without Hilfenhaus (who is a more effective longer-format bowler) and the batting looks much better without Warner (who was generally useless) being there.
Yeah, if they give AB the gloves in ODIs the side looks that much more balanced. That was an issue highlighted during the England series but the problem during the recent series in Aus was despite winning 4-1, South Africa was always a bowler light. AB really doesn't want the gloves though and I hope they don't force them on him. I can't see them dropping Boucher any time soon. Even if they did this, who would you bring in as the all rounder/extra bowler? Philander probably won't cut it. There's always Tyron Henderson... Robin Peterson would probably be my choice, especially in preparation for the next WC.Yeah, if they give AB the gloves in ODIs the side looks that much more balanced.
I don't think AB will mind taking them in ODIs. He's keeping wicket for his domestic side anyway.AB really doesn't want the gloves though and I hope they don't force them on him. Kallis? He in for Ntini.I don't think AB will mind taking them in ODIs. He's keeping wicket for his domestic side anyway.
I'd bring in Tsotsobe or Parnell as an extra bowler, currently Parnell for obvious reasons. From there you have:
Smith
Gibbs
Amla
De Villiers (wk)
Duminy
A Morkel
Botha
M Morkel
Parnell
Steyn
Ntini
I'd bring Kallis in, probably for Ntini who might benefit from the rest. Otherwise the batting is a bit thin with Botha at 7.Kallis? He in for Ntini.
I'd swap out Ntini for Kallis.I don't think AB will mind taking them in ODIs. He's keeping wicket for his domestic side anyway.
