- Your Harwood comment
- Your Laughin comment. Bloke was superb, showed a bit of everything all on debut aswell.
- VDM played the worst innings I've ever seen in my life. He had zero control of where his shots went and his innings demonstrated all that is wrong with 20/20. He ended up with decent bowling figures, working off the pressure Botha was storing up at the other end. But yeah, ODIs for sure!
- Abdulla what a record? Heaviest bloke to out Ponting? No idea what you meant here.
Sorry, was just an off beat post - didn't know everything had to be so stringently put, especially after your Bracken thread. My Harwood comment was obviously tongue firmly in cheek, as was the Laughlin comment. Van Der Merwe did a good hitting job - was lucky, but it takes an abundance of ability to clear the ropes so often. I said that Abdulla has a superb T20 record, you, in your bad mood, can't even deny that.

This has been the mirror image tour, all we need to do now is to win the ODI series 4-1 and we've split all the games.

Too right.

Got up to watch this which means I'll have the ****s now all day.

Just want to say whata great effort by Clarkey last night. His backs-to-the-wall effort nearly got us a draw. His form's gone to **** since he started using the same coloured bat as Bell and Collingwood. You'd think the idiot would know better.

Was really happy with Laughlin on debut and for Harwood too. He's been excellent at domestic T20 level for a few years.

Harwood's what, 34? Where was he 5-10 years ago? Hje would surely have been very sharp when younger.

Personally I don't think 20/20 is Clarke's game. He's had a few internationals now and hasn't done that much. Reckon there's someone better who can fill his spot for the WC.

Im with you on this. He is one of the most instinctive ball strikers Ive come across. And T20 has nothing to do with it, he plays that way in any game.

He has a wild, uncontrolled, striking ability but the rawness makes him hard to tame. Legacy of growing up as a bowler.

I know Ive said this before, but I developed my slower ball from having to bowl at him in the nets twice a week. No matter how fast, he is on it and hits it a long way.

Despite him looking like a hack, there is only 2 ways to bowl to him to stop getting destroyed. Vary the pace and be prepared to drop it short (with protection).

.

yes i realllly did think it was terrible alkso nicholas is part of 9 commentary so is same thing i hate australia
what about Healy and the other chaps?.If there is 1 ball to go and 10 runs to get then Healy will say that that the Aussies still have a shot to win it.that kind of homerism doesnt belong in a international commentary box.At least mark nicholas tries to keep it neutral which is more than i can say for the Aussie commentators.

One for thierry henry, but how small does Yusuf Abdulla look?

At a guess I'd reckon 5'7/5'8 and would that qualify him for the smallest specialist seamer in International cricket?

Injury-prone through 20's and was, ahem, a bit of a wild-child from what I've heard. Cricket wasn't really on the radar.

Van der Merwe pretty much showed how mediocrity can win you a twenty/20 so longs as you flay your bat around with enough strength and get a man of the match award too.truly terrible stuff.

In no context does your post look like you were joking. Use a smiley or something. (Y)

Haha, and just because I called you out on some things doesn't mean I'm in a bad mood.

Indeed. Also evident in how Harwood returned good figures and Cam White threatened briefly with the bat. It just isn’t cricket.

I know he had a bad first T20I but he's not a bad bowler, especially in T20. Cam White's also a very good T20 batsman.

All your posts are vitstl.
As is van der Merwe... I know Harwood is a good 20/20 bowler, seen him bowl domestically and I've seen Cam White hit a ridiculously good century for Somerset and score ****loads of runs in 20/20 over the years.

As for vitstl, **** knows what that means.
