South Africa and the IPL could be a big stage for him to make an impact. He's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the IPL, plus KP > Warne III, and seeing a few of the young Indian guys I've heard alot about, mainly Tiwary, Badrinath and Pujara. Hopefully he'll live up to the expectations, would be incredible to see a guy bowling at over 100mph consistently.

Of course, baseball pitching doesn't involve run-ups. The gain in momentum from that might push him over the 100mph range. Then again baseball essentially involves chucking, so I don't know how the run-up would compensate for the elbow power.
It doesn't compensate enough - the average baseball pitcher is faster than the average cricket bowler. The average speeds are faster, and the top speeds are faster. There are a lot more 90+mph pitchers than there are cricket bowlers.

So I'd definitely be surprised if a cricket bowler breaks the major league record of 104mph.

The more I think about this the more it sounds strange.

It doesnt say much for the fast bowling coaching technique if, in order to be successful, it requires a young fast bowler on the fringe of FC cricket, who is an elite level athlete who has to dedicate 3 years to specialist fast bowling training without ever playing a game and still has coach-confessed problems with length.

Not exactly easy to replicate on a large scale.

Its a head scratcher.

The problems with length were allegedly to be solved in November.

How nice it would be to sign up for a month long course and solve your line and length problems. Especially if that problem was not being able to bowl anything except full tosses and yorkers.

Whatever or whoever he is it would surely be the most eagerly awaited FC debut in cricket's history.

Come on - you work with a guy for three years, and just now you're going to start solving his extreme length problems?

I did write allegedly - I believe the story to be true but nothing in my last post was :laugh:worthy, imo.
I too believe the story to be true..had written to mavericks to confirm as well.A bit skeptical about him reaching 105 mph though..

Don't believe he will be a 105 mph what I am expecting is a Malinga type/speed paceman.
